It does feel strange because Champions league is usually associated with Tuesday/Wednesday nights. It's staying this way too. I think the main reason is to get more people watching (people do watch TV more on Saturday nights and a midweek night), but it's also to do with UEFA wanting more familes watching together, which again a Saturday night is most likely to do. Of course it all depends on who's playing and how good the game is. I think these two are decent teams to watch, and the game is good so far without any goals.

Certainly an interesting tactical game. Could maybe use a Bayern goal to spark it and make Inter be a little more forceful

*lol* Edit....and just as I say that!!

Overall they deserved to win it in terms of who they beat. I know Bayern beat us but that was on away goals. Inter though beat Chelsea well, then beat Barcelona, and tactically out-thought both Ancelotti and Guardiola, AND stopped Messi.

Pretty much a given for the Real job (Jose that is), then again we knew that before the game.

Good summing up (apart from them "only on away goals" winge! :p)

Lol not a complaint, just pointing it out. Hell we've won on those before (I think, I'd have to research), Bayern are a good team no question. Just Inter were better tonight, but again I think we all knew they were going to be beforehand.

England just beat Mexico 3-1. Ok performance from England without being that good, but Mexico deserve credit for that (they were the better team in the first half for me). There's a few things thta have to be addressed if they are going to win the WC. Walcott and Lennon look good when they are running up the wing but they aren't strong enough and both of their end products are faily poor, have been for a while. The centre of the midfield is ok but not brilliant, and Leighton Baines at left back looked out of his depth.

There are positives though to be taken, the strikers looked lively enough. Ledley King got through the 90 minutes just fine and looked steady. Both goalkeepers looked decent enough, didn't really do anything wrong. Gerrard looked commanding enough.

A few things have probably been learnt from tonight, and I'm sure Capello's got a better idea of who's who in terms of the final squad/starting 11.

Don't think a lot was learned really. It was a professional enough performance though, I kinda enjoyed it sitting here
