I don't look forward to series where I'm pretty sure we're gonna get smashed. You guys are going in the right direction, and we're barely treading water. We came out of the Cardinals series down a game from where we started, and show absolutely no signs of being able to put anything together for longer than one game.

I understand where you are coming from. I'm used to watching the Giants blow it, I've come to accept that every series won't be full of W's. I still enjoy 99.9% of the games. YMMV.

I guess when you've been a Cubs fan for 24 of your 28 years on this earth, you start to get a big jaded after a while. That's not to say that I don't enjoy the games, I just hate it when I'm almost positive we're going to lose. I've been through so much heartbreak with this team in just this last decade, that I think it's starting to get to me. Four outs from the World Series in 2003, getting swept in the NLDS in both 2007 and 2008, corked bats, blown out arms, freak injuries, and it starts to get to you. :(

I was so excited that the Giants won it all last year, having grown up in California with them being my second favorite team. But damn was it ever bittersweet.

I feel you man. I've been a Giants fan 23 of my 28 years on Earth. I've seen a good deal of heartache myself. :D

I was so happy they won, but I also had a ticket to game six. That didn't ever happen. :D
 
WTF

We're apparently able to score runs every other game... 3-2 game for us going into the 7th, and then we scored 5 in the 7th to go up 8-2. But of course, I'm stuck at work just watching the ESPN GameCast intently.
