We seriously have to be on track for the worst clutch hitting team in history. 3rd in the majors in batting average... but 24th in runs scored. How is that even freaking possible?

It kills me that Timmy pitches eight shutout innings of Baseball then Wilson comes out and , throws a few pitches, walks a guy, etc, and HE gets the W, Timmy gets a ND. Argh.

Agreed. Timmy pitched a great game last night... but hey, a win is a win.

Meanwhile, my Cubbies lost... again. This time because Wood allowed his first two runs at home all season long, giving the Cardinals their 6-4 lead a half inning after we tied it at 4. :yuk

This team needs to start driving runs in.

I just don't understand what's up with this team. Garza can't buy a win because he can't get run support... hell, none of our pitchers are really getting any run support. We lost our 4 and 5 starters after one start each... so that's been rough. Then like I've mentioned already, we're in the top 5 in BA, but in the bottom 6 in runs scored. We're this bizarre enigma of a team. I keep saying that it's still early, but we're already 5 games back of the Cardinals. Hopefully we can take the next two and make it 3 back.

We struggle with run support as well. Three of the last four wins were walk off wins.

So... what do we do? Go out and score 11 runs today. Then I'm sure we'll be lucky to score that many combined through Sunday.

We are at top of 8 and it's 4-3. We need to stomp the snakes early.
