Boston is a mess PJ

sorry

I feel your pain

I should go to Vegas to bet on the Cubs winning a world series finally in the next 3 years.

They have the money and he knows how to find talent. Not just free agent either.

Should make Retro happy as all get out. It sure was a shocker to me to see him do this.

I always remember the 2004 ALCS with the sleepiness nights and going to work the next morning after going down 3-0 to the Yankees....games 4-7 were just epic!!! the lack of sleep sucks, but if your team pulls it off, you know you can sleep...sometime....

I think the tigers must have the slowest runners in baseball

damn we should have won that game last night

now we need a complete game by Verlander and then a couple days of rain outs to have a shot.

We just do not have enough arms. Man would Joel Zumiah have ever come in handy this year had he stayed healthy..

you got to believe the Tigers need more than just Verlander...you need at least three strong/deep....

I don't get the call to have Cabrera, who could pass as CC Sabathia's latino twin, try to run home on a shallow fly ball, but OOOOOOOk! I appreciated that he tried to plow down the catcher, though.

I agree though, this is just stupid, and I think Verlander might save us today, but...that's about it.

What are you talking about? Our starting rotation is not what is losing the games for us. We have 3 solid, very solid, starting pitchers. You can't win if the relief gives up grand slams and 3 run home runs to the same player in extra innings. Just not happening.

The problem is with our offense. Its been horrible leaving so many men on base. Ugh. This series should so be 3-1 in Detroit's favor right now. Its disgusting. Getting thrown out at home plate from the right field corner is just redonkulous.

For sure. Avila has been completely muted this post-season, especially this series, and he was a huge contributor. Bunch of dead bats.

Exactly! Well, no matter what happens this season, nobody expected Detroit to be in the ALCS at the All Star break and I for one, am very happy with the way it has gone so far. Sports are good for Detroit teams this year!

They took a big gamble playing Avilla almost every game after they clinched the division title in the hopes of getting home field advantage. I think it was a huge mistake because I would rather have Avilla fresh. My point about rain is that if we had some rain days it is possible Fister and Verlander could pitch games 6 and 7 if they win today. Even then our bullpen is just not good enough to go into extra innings. Our bats need to heat up.

Avila was seriously beat up this season. What they've expected of him, I don't know how many players could do that...he's a work horse for sure. I agree he's also obviously worn down. It's good to see guys like Inge and Kelly helping out with some runs here and there, but my opinion of Cabrera is starting to change idk. He's not hurt, he's not over worked, but he seems to choke when it matters. If not for drinking and acting like a dick one year, for some other reason the next.

I'd be willing to say, hey- they did well, it's ok they didn't go to the big games, but I'm irritated the Rangers are the team...I feel like New York would have beaten them if they were there...it's so annoying.
