If this chik was allowed back on the plane with her ass baring skirt .. you should be allowed to read the bible if you want to as well.

Pantagraph.com | WTF | Airline tells woman skirt too short to fly

Evidently we live in a free world .. any anything is supposed to go .. can't pick and choose now .. not now, ohhh no.

I don't see anything in that article that her ass was baring, simply that she was wearing a short skirt, subjectively speaking. In any case the airline was within their rights to challenge her if they felt it violated their rules or if they felt it may have bothered other passengers and ask her to be considerate of her fellow passengers.

We live in a so called "free" world but there are always rules and regulations to which we are obliged to observe or face the consequences....weather it is in public, the office or otherwise.

Did you not see the pictures of this girl? She had on a denim skirt that was approx 6" long .. like Paris Hilton wears. She was a Hooters girl .. obviously trying to get attention and she got it .. but they let her back on because they had no written documentation that had dress guidelines.

Check out where her hip bones are, how stretched out the shirt is to hide the waistband of the skirt (this pic was taken after she got kicke doff) .. and look closely and you'll see the waistband of the skirt .. then compare to the hem. It's a 6" skirt).

She has the skirt pulled down past her ass with the shirt pulled over it to hide the fact that if she had it up where it originally was (when the airline people were notified by complaints of other passengers) it would show her ass cheeks.

I betcha the busline, just like the airline didn't, doesn't have written rules stating that you cannot read the Bible aloud while traveling on their buses.

Without such a clause stated on the back of their tickets .. they are screwed as far as telling someone they can't do it or else be booted from said bus.

*edit* I'm gonna go out on a limb and bet she wasn't screaming the scripture either .. but instead simply reading it out loud.

No, I hadn't seen the pics before. Is that the skirt she was wearing? It looks perfectly ok to me.

That same airline used to make their stewardesses wear miniskirts and tiny shorts.

I know .. thats my whole point. Someone traveling on the airline took offense to the girls skirt. They booted her off to appease the other customers. Then come to find out they had to let her back on with an appology .. because nothing in their rules/regulations prohibited her from wearing whatever she wanted.

Same applies to reading the bible aloud .. I'm betting there is not one regulation printed on their website or their tickets that state you cannot read a book OR the Bible or any other material aloud on their buses.

I'm betting this person gets treated the same way as the skirt girl .. she gets a public apology.

I'm sure some mother with her 10 yr old son/daughter sitting behind her as she reached up or bent over .. had a problem with her ass showing.

Ok I see your point. In all honesty I would be surprised if the woman on the bus gets an apology since it was the bible she was reading. I get the impression religion is kind of a taboo these days in public places.

If they don't (in light of the skirt girl situation) .. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to accept the settlement offer that will come after she threatens to sue the pants off them. lol

I hope she gets no money, learns to have more consideration for others in a publicly confined place esp with regard to personal religious beliefs and learns that there a time and place for everything. And that she finds the time to read the bible to her kids otherwise.

Now that kind of steps on the whole "free country" thing doesn't it?
Its not like she was at the front of the bus yelling and preaching.

I'm deaf so if I see anybody wearing any religious garments or symbols should I be offended and annoyed then hope that person gets removed? After all my eyes might have been offended.

Forgive my manners but I have no desire at this time to repeat what I stated before with regard to so called "free" speech, actions, responsibility and consideration for others.
