Im christian. And I dont think its the least bit rich. I have seriously stood on the sidelines with you on this topic because you're my friend. I've seen you be disrespectful to, not only my religion, but many other religions as well. I just wonder sometimes where you get off. I'm not mad at you or nothing Pete, I just wish you would respect other peoples beliefs a bit more.

You're ignoring historical fact. Here we have the actual people from that era saying we are not a nation founded on Christianity, and you're saying otherwise?

I hardly see how a woman reading a bible to her children, puts her into the category of a terrorist. I actually don't see how this statement has anything to do with the topic at hand. Ah, I see. You think that, because I wont judge someone for their beliefs, that I support what Al Qaeda is doing? You understand wrong. I will judge someone for their actions, not for what they choose to believe. I think its funny how the country you love so much, was one nation under God when it was created. How the constitution was created to allow people to explore and enjoy their own beliefs. If I'm not mistaken, the pilgrims came to America in order to practice their religion without persecution. I think its sad that the religion this country was founded on, is suddenly being outlawed. I think the extremists are the people that made that woman get off the bus.

I didn't bring it up to make you look wrong, I brought it up because what you were saying was historically inaccurate in the factual sense, and as a history major, I have a responsibility to point those things out when I see them.

You're seriously getting respecting peoples beliefs mixed up with agreeing with them. You have every right to be a Christian and I don't try and stop you in any way. This is a thread in a section for debate on religious matters. Wouldn't be much of a debate if everyone agreed now would it? I disagreed with what this woman did and I said why. I'm not going to respect someones beliefs like this womans though, if shes not going to respect other people in the name of her religion. And calling me a biggot IS offensive. I think 7th day adventists are fruit cakes. They are an extreme religion. I don't go around abusing them in the street though, I don't hinder the way they live their life in any way whatsoever. I merely expressed my opinion of them on an internet forum. I realise many people in the same religion vary in their attitudes but religions like these don't. I speak through personal experience of them.
