Re: Why prayer is absolutely futile, and blasphemy.

I see that this thread was truly set up just to mock prayer as confirmed by the utube videos that you and staff posted AEF. (I knew from the beginning, but decided to play anyway)

I don't see any people mocking you for not being a believer, for not praying, or for not going to church, etc. etc.
Why do nonbelievers feel the need to mock people that walk a faith walk? In fact many almost seem obsessed it. It is weird. Don't non believers have more productive things to do with their own lives?

I don't know why I bother posting in these threads. They are a waste of my time, time that would be more productive if spent praying.

Not all nonbelievers are like that, just some, just like there are some religious people who feel the need to mock Atheists. I myself and am a non-believer, don't see me going around saying all these things about those who are religious.

No its set up to point somehting I think is important about your religion.

Trust me, I've been discriminated against in real life for being an atheist. I've gotten death threats too.

I don't mock peoples beliefs within reason, I just mock them when they are so closed minded. AEFs title and idea of this thread I generally agree with, I just dont like the way its set up as a statement of fact and not debate.

more accuracy would have been, "Why I think prayer is absolutely futile, and blasphemy."

But I think that would have been asking too much.

Exactly. I once set up a thread which was rather nasty about the Bible but I did it as a question. Do you think...? ect. Thats what I'm talking about, its hard to have a debate with someone who makes sweeping statements as facts ect.;)
