Why do you believe in God?

You're right. I don't give in to belief within a second. I'm not going to waste my time finding him myself...I'd rather get the info from a person claiming to have seen him already.

so u would only believe in something if u see it?

do u believe in the big band??

do u believe in me??(since u cant see me only the results of my typing)

No duh. That's common knowledge...if you can't see it, then how do you expect people to believe you? Don't make yourself sound unintelligent now...

Big Band? Uh no...

You are real. It's a fact, because I'd be talking to nothing otherwise. Which is impossible...

How about atoms and particles? they exist, we can't see them... We do believe in all sorts of things the we can't see.

(once again, leaves God subject well alone.)

Once again, you guys are stating things everyone knows already. Air is another example of something that exists, but doesn't have an appearance. I'm talking about a God...not earths elements and stuff.

They may in fact be one and the same thing...thought is a good one. No one knows what the voice in your head is and how it comes to be, is it there, is it a figment of your imagination?

You want to argue a good one, argue that people need structure or a formulation that they are worth something. The only argument against religion is a social one... saying prove it is pointless...

well the point im getting across is that u cant see god but u can see the effects of him just like me u cant see me but u can see the effects of me typing.

I don't see any effects of God. You're putting words into my mouth now...stop. I have a visual image of you typing here. Therefore, I can assume you are real. I don't see any trace of a God at all...not footprints, nothing. Get my point?
