Why do you believe in God?

So then you believe that in some cases God is wrong then. Which gets me back to what I asked a while back, how do you decide when God is right and when he's wrong? Not trying to make you feel bad, I'm just trying to understand your reasoning on what to believe when it comes to religion.

I didn't say God is wrong .. I'm prolly wrong in what I do .. but I wanna do it .. so I do it anyways. I'm a human being, I make mistakes .. and I do them on purpose sometimes. I'm not a devout christian .. but even though I am not devout .. it doens't mean I'm not saved, nor that I don't believe fully in God. I just choose to do some things I'm not supposed to .. just like I choose to speed to work everyday, even though I'm not suposed to.

Actually JWs only believe that God knows whether the're saved or not. And by saved, that means they will survive when God kills everyone else. I assume that isn't what you take it to mean???

See what AEF said, thats what "being saved" means to most christians. That's all you have to do to "be in the club" :lol:

Personally I've never seen any evidence to back up the belief in hell and it sounds like scare tactics to me. Omg, yes it is! It's just that how can those criminals go without being punished? Hitler who killed thousands of Jews, Saddam who ripped families apart and ****ed up Iraq, Binladen an effing terrorist who kills and bombs, shouldn't they be punished? Would you like to share heaven with them? They don't deserve anything except for hell...

Well, you can believe what you want. I believe that they will not go unpunished. God will punish them for their crimes.

Heaven is supposed to be peaceful .. a retreat/reward for those who followed and believed in God .. why would he allow the people who denied his existance .. the same benefits as those who loved and believed in him?

What sense does that make? That's like a parent rewarding a child for doing exactly the opposite of what they want them to do .. or the correctional system rewarding prisoners for selling drugs instead of not selling them.

God won't be sending anyone to Hell or punishing anyone .. they will bring whatever happens to them upon themselves, we all have a choice to make .. and no one is forcing anyone to make it.

I always found it laughable and at the same time confusing that a god, the creator of all there is and will be, would even care what I thought of him. What a vain god haha.
