I believe in God .. that's my point in it. I'm not perfect, and I also have my own brain to tell me what choices to make.

So in fact, it's not that you agree with the Bible as you clearly disagree with some of it, it just so happens that some of your views are the same as some of the Bibles. I'm pretty sure most people share at least some of the Bibles views. They dont do what they do though because it says so in the Bible or else the'd agree with the lot of it.

um .. yes .. that's what most christians are like.

You really should try to look at things from another angle .. except the Jehovah Witness one .. those people are freaks and are UNLIKE most of the other christian religions.

I'm Southern Baptist .. and they are different from Mormans and they are different from Presbyterians .. each religion has their own "take" on the Bible and what it means to them.

The Bible translates to what YOU need in your life .. and what relationship YOU form with God yourself .. so long as a basic set of principles is followed.

I mean, I'm prolly not the best Christian in the world (by any means) .. I am probably a very loose interpreation of what it means to be a christian .. but that doesn't mean I don't know and understand what I "should" be doing or how I should be acting, in regards to what I've been taught.

But the fact that I believe in God, according to the Bible, is enough for God to love me. He doens't say I have to do everything thats written in the Bible for him to love and accept me.

I don't .. I decide if I think I am wrong or right, based on how I was raised and what I've been taught and learned/believe from all the information i have avaliable.

I dont really believe in god.... so I just don't like to think about how the universe started..... Im a good person because I cant stand sad people, or to cause any sort of pain, and if there is a god I highly doubt that he will send me to hell for not worshiping him, unless if he is a complete jerk.

Well, I think its quite apparent.

God: "follow my rules"
you: "what about the ones I'm just comfortable with?"
God: "no, all of them."
You: "But I don't waaannaaa!!!"

mmm no actually that's the "people" who like to interpret his rules .. God actually asks you to follow his teachings, and if you happen to fall astray .. then all he asks is that you ask for forgiveness .. and all is right again. :)

He also says that once you ask him into your heart he will always be with you and you will always be one of his children, welcome into heaven .. unless you denounce him.

which you do as well.

Yes, he asks you to follow his teaching, which all religious people are very selective about.

I always thought it was odd that god takes his rules so lightly. "These are the ultimate truth, the ultimate rules that ever one of my children should live by, and to break them are horrid sins, but just say you're sorry and all is dandy once more!". I mean, come on.

Does he forgive you and accept your apology if you deliberately break his rules and arn't really sorry, like having pre marital sex for instance?;) If so, it sounds rather superficial to me.

All God really wants, is for you to acknowledge him and his works . I think the rest is just rules set up by people who established religion.

I told you, I'm a pretty loose interpretation of what a christian should be.

I don't think it makes me any less a christian though, I still fully beleive in God and everything thing he has done .. I just don't think some of the rules set forth by man, for man's purposes are all correct.

Most of the "rules" most christians work by, aren't actually written in the bible at all .. the rules were set up by that particular sect of religion when it was started.

Why would you applogize for doing something you aren't sorry for? You wouldn't apologize for doing it, when you are just gonan turn around and do it again .. you would simply ask him to forgive you for being weak and having your own ideas .. IF you were gonan ask forgiveness.

I think God works a lot like a parent .. he knows you're going to fuck up and disobey .. it's just when you REALLY fuck up that you should be "concerned" for your future.

No I'm just saying I wanted to do it, and since I have free will .. I chose to partake.

Why are you trying to make me feel bad or challange me .. you arne't going to change my opinion. My mother does this to me on a daily basis .. and it hasn't worked for her in my 30+ years LOL.
