Don't get me wrong, people have a right to believe what they want, just state that that is what it is, stating something as fact when it isn't can be misleading.

The bible is a storytelling book for crying out loud. You're going to believe in something written millions of years ago? It's pointless to believe in something that spreads lies like wildfire. Prove it to me that the bible is a factual book. Give me evidence. Make your claim mean something to me...don't give me excerpts from the bible, either. It explains nothing.

I don't think so. He said he believed in God, because it's right. What does right mean? It can mean anything to anybody's opinion. That doesn't give a valid reason at all. Atheist want the proof, so that's what I'm asking for...you on the other hand say you hate debating religion. Bascially, you're just holding the discussion back. If you're not gonna debate, then just get out.

Firstly I am saying this thread is going off topic somewhat. The title does not say let's prove or disprove God, and then just get stubborn over it... Start a thread saying Does God exist or not, that would be better, and I shall not post in it.

Atheist, is an absence of belief, not a quest for answers.

If you cannot accept that someone can do something on faith alone, then you must be living a cold world. Whether it is right or wrong, we must accept. I do not believe in God, I think that science holds the answers that I look for, yet I respect and admire those who do hold faith.

I believe God exists because I gave it a great deal of thought and prayer. God convinced me he exists. I know that is not a convincing agruement for you, but if I cared any less, that would violate the laws of entropy.
Please don't believe in God or do as your conscience guides you. One day, right or wrong, we will all either know the truth or just cease to exist.

I don't feel the need, nor do I possess the desire, to convince you the bible is real. All I can say is you can find NO credible proof that anything in the bible is wrong. I am not talking about semantics over definitions or things like that, but actually evidence that the bible recorded a historical event does not exist

That's not a debate. That's simply stating an opinion and leaving it go after that...if we're only gonna do that, then there's no point to this thread. At least make it a debate and discuss why he does/doesn't exist.
