Same with masturbation. He didnt use his seed for the intended reason. Therefore he wasted the seed.

You even said it, for that intended reason... getting his sister-in-law pregnant. There's no discussion of it in any other context, so please tell me how it's a sin. Other than the one mention of "wasting" seed, with no mention of self-pleasuring.

So, when was the last time you ate a pork product? Or got a haircut or shaved your face?

I dont eat pork. But even If i did, Jesus added a stipulation to allow the consuming of pork. I Got a haircut today actually and shaved the last day I worked (Thursday) and am going to shave tonight because I got work tommorow. I know where your going with this. There are 3 kinds of laws in the bible. Temple laws, Ceremonial/civil laws, and laws applying to all (10 commandments). The shaving/haircuts is quoted from jewish civil laws. I am not jewish. Nor do you have to be jewish to follow Jesus.

So can we get back on topic now or you still want to try and convince yourself your not wrong for spanking your monkey every night?

If being gay is an illness, how comes no one ever calls in sick to work with it? -

"Sorry! Can't come to work today, I'm feeling rather gay" (in fruitiest voice to make it convincing)

Oh, and if masturbating is a sin, are animals going to hell for it? (I would post some video proof of animals bashing the bishop but it would get moved to the underground like that chimp and frog one because some people (probably Doc) feel it would corrupt children if they saw it)

I never claimed that you had to be Jewish to follow Jesus... I'm merely trying to prove a point. That situation would fall under a ceremonial/civil law, and that's only referring to what he was supposed to do... not his sacred sperm. He was supposed to get his sister-in-law pregnant, he didn't want to because the child would officially be his brother's and not his; as such he pulled out and expelled himself on the ground. He wasn't masturbating, and there was no mention of his sperm being sacred, except that it was to be used for a specific purpose. If you can prove to me anywhere in the Bible that sperm is somehow sacred, I'll concede the point. But I don't believe that you can, because there's no similar mention of it anywhere in the Bible. This doesn't fall under the 10 Commandments, a temple law, or anything else.

The only reason that it is believe that sperm is sacred is due to Papal decree, and not anything in the Bible. Again, prove otherwise and I'll gladly concede the point.

So can we get back on topic now or you still want to try and convince yourself your not wrong for spanking your monkey every night?

I don't have to convince myself of anything, I know that there's nothing in the Bible forbidding it.

As far as getting back to the subject at hand goes, I will as soon as you bother to actually answer my questions. I will say that you completely ignored the possibility that there may be a genetic cause for homosexuality from that article about the rugby player. It's proven scientifically that strokes can change someone's body chemistry, open up genes that may have been dormant previously, and other similar things. Isn't it possible that his stroke opened up the so-called gay gene in him?

Where? You claim that the Bible says a lot of things that it doesn't. I've read through it at least 5-6 times, and I have to say that I don't recall any reference to animals going to heaven or hell.

That being said, according to Cake... sheep go to heaven and goats go to hell. :D

Retro is right if we apply religious ways of thinking. The whole reason there is a god is because no one can prove there isn't. On the same level, animals go to heaven because you can't prove they don't.

You see, earthly animals in heaven is a touchy subject. Certain animals have intelligence and immotions which do constitue part of what a soul is, but they do not neccessarily posses an immortal spirit which lives on after death. This is justified with the fact that man was created superior to animals and to the fact that there is no salvation mentioned to animals. Animals are sinless, there are no rules for them. They do as they please, which is usually to survive. You see, originally it is Assumed adam and eve were vegetarians as there is no mention of them eating meat. It is not until after the flood that God gave Noah and his sons permission to eat animals. There are animals in heaven, but they do not stem from animals on earth. You see, it is unclear at best of the relations between earthly and heavenly animals but most priests and pastors will tell you no.

I'm preaching to the choir but most religious people never consider any religion other than the one they learned as a child. That's a lot of ego if you think about it.
