You've completely missed the point... again. You're not displaying ignorance by hating homosexuals; you're displaying ignorance by acting as though it's a choice or something that can be "cured". You're also claiming that you don't "down right hate homosexuals", but earlier in the thread you said that you hate gay people. So which is it? You either hate them or you don't. Hate is hate.

Acting as though its a choice...it is a choice for some and learned behavior for others. You cant prove to me that homosexuals are born homosexuals. Therefore i fail to see any ignorance on my part. Last time i checked the study for the gay gene was inconclusive.

Hate is a term i loosely use and am currently trying to phase out of my vocabulary. To hate something is to have killed it in your heart, Im trying to stop using the term hate and switch it to strongly dislike. At time, the word hate will slip out, when i mean strongly dislike.

Also, I am not a doctor. In the Army, Doc is a loving term/title used towards medics instead of using rank. So instead of saying PFC Smith or SPC Smith its just Doc Smith. NCO's though arent called doc. They Are Seargent _______, Corporol ______ etc...

1) He's not a doctor, he's a freaking 21 year old combat medic in the Army

I am very sorry for your condition. My heart goes out to your family. I want you to know, you might not have remembered how you became the way you are but today you can make a decision to change. It will not be easy. Nowhere worth going to in life is easy to get to. I want you to know that I dont like you, but God loves you and has a plan for your life. I have to laugh when people run off on these forums like they know anything about the subject because they found something online that says this or that. That's not how it works.

Human sexuality is a vastly complicated and intricate thing, my exposure to the topic comes from the upwards of 7 years of education, which, in this field counts for nothing. I am but a mere spectator of the humanities, with only a small understanding of the scope of human sexuality. There are thousands of studies and statistics; they conflict, they coordinate, they are redone and re-interpreted. Most of them are completely fucking useless and incredibly biased, but there are certain assumptions given a consensus.

Social science (which is shaky anyway) compiles decades worth of knowledge into a set of assumptions that are even too long to go into here. It's been classically difficult to get unbiased data and information about sexuality, because humans are still so influenced by dogma which skews the perception of sexuality one way or another. And you want "findings"

I can't offer you those, but the more you educate yourself, the more you read and learn and glean, the better. Be an autodidact.

My senior medic was a latin king, and we have former Vice Lords, Folk's, Crips, Bloods in the army. Tatoos and all. Some people stick with the life style, some grow out of it. Where i lived we were small people in the big scheme of the world trying to make it. Reach for your dreams and get rich, wheather its college or pushing. Also, i got court ordered to a juvinile program. I was involuntarily taken away. Not my choice. I thank God every day for it. I still go back there and see my boys all the time. Then again I wasnt a gang member, but all the guys i grew up with joined the same gang. People come and go, people move away, people goto jail, people grow up. You watch too many movies if you seriously think that gang members chase you around the country to keep you in, when they themselvs cant make ends meet. Let alone fund a trip to chase you around places. 9/10 gang members are just low level drug dealers who make a little more then minimum wage, not important at all and will not be missed, arent worth chasing.
