Oh please! Me and the rest of the world.

You mean you and the rest of the Nancy Grace crowd. The news had her convicted long before the trial ever started. You had the pleasure of sitting on your couch watching idiots like Nancy Grace spin their little fantasy world for the sheeple. The jury was spared the 24/7 mind numbing commentary by the network idiots. They decided this case on fact.

I already said, I didn't watch Nancy Grace at all during this whole thing. What's amazing to me is that you can't see that this woman killed her child. So I guess you thought OJ was innocent too?

Seriously, what makes YOU think you know any more than the twelve people on the jury? Not ONE of them agree with you. You do not know more than they do...

There is a very good reason that certain things aren't shown to the jury.

Say it ain't so!!! :24:

Technically not true. At least one juror has come forward saying they think she did it, but they couldn't convict based on the evidence. ;) First vote was 10-2. Either way, it doesn't matter b/c she was found not guilty.

Two words for you, maybe you'll understand them.

REASONABLE DOUBT

The prosecution did NOT prove their case beyond a, here it comes again, REASONABLE DOUBT.

Jesus fucking Christ... learn something about the judicial system before you open your mouth. Furthermore, you don't know that she did kill her daughter. That's your opinion based upon the media's biased coverage of the case. Are you capable of utilizing your brain beyond what you're spoon fed by the mass media.

Sorry, that wasn't directed towards you. :24:
Can I act offended anyway??? :mad :24:

Seriously, though, once the verdict came down I was done w/ watching any more news coverage of the trial. I followed the case since the beginning, but if I have to hear the clerk read the verdict one more time I think my head will explode.

And a little off topic, but...........Not that Nancy doesn't do enough yelling of her own, but who the fuck is that butch woman that she puts on her show that does nothing but yell??? OMG, hello mute button!!!

Well how would you guys want the trial to go? Just convict her on "Well we know she did it we just know!"
*sigh*

I really hope that she is convicted, but I'm worried that they don't have enough evidence to convict her. I'm curious, though, as to whether or not she'll be tried for concealing a death if she's acquitted on THIS case.

I don't know that it was courageous...but they DID do their job correctly. As guilty as I think she was, the state didn't meet the burden of proof, unfortunately.

They provided a motive. There just wasn't enough evidence to convict her in a court of law, unfortunately. I personally don't think they should try to go after her for anything else. The case was lost and, even though it sucks, it's the way our system works.

I think I can speak for the rest of those who wanted her convicted when I say we would have preferred that the state met the burden of proof and she had been convicted.

how can you want her convicted

based off of what
Have you followed the case at all??? I wanted her convicted because, *gasp*, I BELIEVE she is guilty!!! The state does not have enough evidence...shit happens. When a dead body lays in a swamp for 6 months you'd be amazed how little evidence can be left. I don't understand what you're not getting here??? There's a difference in WANTING her convicted and EXPECTING her to be convicted based on evidence that doesn't meet the burden of proof. Either way, it doesn't matter now...she's been found innocent and will more than likely walk out of that courthouse tomorrow a free woman.

Oh god! Not here too? No offense but I'll just be glad when this trial is over because of my missus aunt. I've got her on facebook and she is obsessed with this trial for some reason. Spams up facebook argueing with people about it and posts about 50 videos a fucking night of it. I would delete her but she'd notice and start kicking up a fuss.

I wish she'd been found guilty because of this. My missus aunt might have shut up then but no, now she's 10 times worse! :willy_nilly:

amazing that people are so dead sure she killed the kid when they don't don't how when or where the kid was killed.

I think after reading that article by Wendy Murphy that it makes sense that the mother was involved in a child porn ring. She certainly is a sociopath and had a history of mysteriously dropping the kid off to unknown people. Coupled with the sex crimes unit first being involved and some of the sealed documents it sure does have an odor to it.

oh and since she was convicted of felonies in 2008 the judge might very well make her serve the full 4 years. Although I heard one pundit say that since she was in a local lock up versus the big house that they doubted there would be anything beyond time served.

It's her evil fucking twin. If you gotta yell on tv all the time you might as well do it in stereo.

Before snickering.. read the article. Murphy is a well known and respected legal pundit on tv. She is no quack

I stopped reading it when I got to this part.

" There’s no doubt Casey neglected her child "

Why did I stop? It's quite simple actually. The persecution didn't put one witness on the stand that said she wasn't a good mother. Every witness that testified swore she was a great mother that loved her child dearly. So much for Murphy not being a quack.

It's actually quite disgusting when a bunch of internet judges, juries and legal pundits critique a case for three years and hail the US legal system as being the best in the world until a verdict doesn't go their way. Then all hell breaks loose and everyone becomes even more of an expert. :24:
