Re: The 2012 Reading Challenge

I just figured out I read 20+ books since Oct. Maybe 52 wont be as difficult as I am anticipating.

Re: The 2012 Reading Challenge

Right I've started my first book for this challenge. It's The Sirens Of Titan - Kurt Vonnegut.

Re: The 2012 Reading Challenge

I am indeed :) I actually asked Darrell to change it for me already but he refused, telling me I had to 'earn it' first :(

I asked Natasha :p

We'll start a new thread when it's been changed, just to avoid confusion of two threads with the same name.

I was incredibly disappointed to discover that I cannot buy the Catcher in the Rye in eBook form. Though I suppose it's the type of book I should have a physical copy of. I never got to read it in high school, so I'm hoping to make that one of my books for the year.

I bought that book a few years ago and finished it in a day. It's a quick read and not a bad book overall - maybe a tad bit overrated.

I've not read Catcher In The Rye either. Everyone I know who has read it, either likes it or absolutely hates it.

I should throw some classics on my list too....all I ever read is Michael Connolly, James Patterson, Tess Gerritsen and the like.

I'm not going to start any Classics until I've finished Jude The Obscure. That book is taking me ages and I just cannot get into it.
