That could be true, but I don't know how the average person would perform in a situation like that. It's very easy to judge when it helps your politics.
I know I wouldn't run away and not report it for a few days and I'm sure most people wouldn't either.

Yes he screwed up big time. It's your right to trash the man, but why don't you get your facts straight? The accident occurred about 1am and was reported about 8am of the same day.
Just enough time to have a nice sleep, wake up, make breakfast and then report to the police about some chick on the bottom of a river...
