before lately I would think that it wouldnt matter but everyday i get on the free way to go through a large city and there is always at least one car with some stoners driven about 30 or less weaving back and forth making everyone drive slow till they get around them they are usually in the a huge old peoples car with fancy rims looking all like what the heck is everyones problem and all smiling and crap lol

How do you know they're stoners? Do you ask them?

Did anybody suggest that people should be allowed to smoke pot and/or drink while they drive? No. I merely stated that it was a piss poor reason for not legalizing marijuana when there are plenty of legal substances (especially alcohol) that you can get without a prescription that will impair your driving abilities as well.

How do you know they're stoners? Do you ask them?

Right after he threatens to beat them up for driving too slowly.

I think some people get set off different from it. People are to quick to dismiss wrong doings involved with marijuana.

Being colorblind prevents you from distinguishing between people of different races? Interesting.

Good Lord... no need to get hostile. I wasn't sure if you were being serious or not; and I thought it was interesting that being color blind would prevent people from being able to tell the difference between people of different races.

Well, of course. You can't say that people who smoke pot are completely harmless. But I also don't think it's any more dangerous than smoking cigarettes or drinking alcohol. Both of those things are legal. That's all my opinion is on the situation.

Besides, I think pot would help with people who deal with a lot of physical pain, depression, anxiety, etc. I think there are benefits to it. And insurance companies tend to like to drive the prices up on things like that, so if people could legally grow and distribute it to anyone, it might be more easily accessible for people who may not have insurance or be able to afford insurance prices, or are having to deal with a doctor who might not think it an effective way to help. I know this thread is about recreational purposes, and on that point I just think that it's no different than smoking cigarettes which are known to cause cancer, or drinking alcohol that destroys your liver.

Yeah your trying to convice the wrong guy. I am all for it as well. I think poverty has something to do with it. Drug dealing. All the nasty side of it. If the goverment was to produce it and sell it then I think more people could be excepting of it. Like I said in my early post. I don't care at all if someone smokes dope. Just do it at your house and not around publice places. Same with alcohol.

The link between marijuana and schizophrenia saddens me.
(Disclaimer for the argumentative: this is not to discount or ignore the many physical and psychological disorders {some worse than schizophrenia, some less debilitating} linked to many other legal substances, it just fits with the thread and I wanted to say it.)

To imagine going your whole life maybe self-medicating depression, for instance, with regular marijuana use, only to unlock a genetic predisposition to schizophrenia by fucking up your neurotransmitters...sad.

all though I would like to legally go get some pot on the weekends
the effects of legalizing it I fear would have a larger impack on our security and in America
due to the life styles of the people that are currently in control of the illegal migration of the product already entering the US
those would be the people with even power over our lands and communities it could either get a lot better or a lot worse.
but who knows for sure

like I said would be nice to go to the store and get some for the weekend and sit at home and veg
I dont know how healthy it could really be long term.
Most people that I know that have been doing it for a while, cant seem to get enough will power to accomplish their goals in life and just smoke more cause they are unhappy without it.

she is spot on .. once you burn out your neurotransmitters it takes a very very long time to recover and some people never recover
so nothing can make them happy cause the physical funtion is damaged and unable to recieve the little transmissions that are left

I have read and studied this because of my bipolar issues
