Secession

............... it's not enough to dislike someone's priorities.....................

prick: Purposefully annoying and/or uppity. Derisive term for a mean or unkind person; "jerk". Insulting term of address for people who are stupid or irritating or ridiculous.

Interesting....with all the mudslinging that has gone on from both sides, you've just now become incensed.

prick: Purposefully annoying and/or uppity.

And yet, doesn't that describe your own actions when you initiate attacks on those with Christian beliefs?

Hypocrite.....:D

The question was
So why do you feel President Obama is an arrogant prick? Is this the right wing media talking or do you see things in his speeches and public addresses that warrant this description? /QUOTE]

That question, is of course, for Catavenger to answer.
Myself.....it's just the typical mudslinging we all enjoy with little basis to the explicit term.
Diversion....time waster....emotionalism.

How many Democrats in this form would complain if I called Bush an arrogant prick?
Not many :D

I think Bush was an arrogant prick for ignoring regulatory mechanisms and involving us in a war in Iraq........as rationale for the welfare of our society.

I also think Obama is a prick for expanding entitlements close to the boundaries of economic collapse while rationalizing it's for our best interests.

Politicians, in general, are pricks. If they told us the truth, do you really think they'd generate the support they currently receive?

But I do have issue with Catavenger's post:
As for those who wish to "secede" it is SYMBOLIC.
Of course......but it's also divisive and goes against the principles of a united group of states having agreed to support a society based on democratic principles.
That mentality supports withdrawing the perceived best elements to start anew, rather than the argument to correct through a democratic process. We are a Republic, but we've been maintaining it in a democratic fashion.
If a person believes in a democratic process, win or lose.....the call for session ( even symbolic) is unpatriotic and a contradiction to their beliefs.

and what is one to do if those principles are shit on?

this republic was never intended to be so heavy handedly controlled by the federal govt.

how do you curtail the federal power which every time a state tries to is bitch slapped by the courts

We all have the option to leave if/when the conditions are perceived as unbearable.
There is no legal option to disband.
Secession is unconstitutional.
If you can't convince the populace of your above argument, and it's an unbearable situation for you....you might consider relocating to a society more suitable.......that's what built this nation to start with, families relocating here because it was better.

Other wise, you're just going to have to lump it till the next election.

What gets me is we have a president that won the popular vote and the electoral vote..Since he won the popular vote it shows the majority of Americans wanted him in office...Since the people put him in WHY would they want to "opt out"

To separate is the beginning of the end as it will make us weaker.
All of this could have been avoided had we not had Obama policies shoved down our throats.
Why would people vote this guy in if they knew the negative impact it would have on our society.

I have doubts about the vote count in many areas. Ever hear of Philadelphia? Who can believe not a single Republican showed up and voted? Or maybe they just were counted as being for the guy on the wall sized mural? How about the Somalians who "voted" early by the van loads in Ohio?

I just research PA a little...it does seem rather odd that 59 precincts had 0 votes..I would have to say fraud.
How many more where it wasn't so obvious?...There were reportings of machine problems as well in states that after checking Romney it would go back to Obama.
Not trying to derail the thread but it is possible he actually never won due to all the fraud.

Fraud... by who and at what level? Technical issues... by who? Who do you think makes a large number of voting machines? At what level is the greatest opportunity for fraud, at the voting level or the vote management/software level? Who controls those machines, Democrats, Republicans, or Bipartisan Election boards? So many questions to answered. Get to it. :)

That's exactly howI see Pres. Obama. To me everytime I see him talking he seems arrogant and full of himself. The first time he ran he said he would try to work with the Republican party. I don't think that that he has made any attempt to do so instead he rammed through the unpopular Obamacare which is just another tax. I do agree that the Republican party is also guilty of not trying to work more with the Democrats. However I think that Obama as President should have a "the buck stops here" rather than it's Bush's fault attitude and make the first gestures if necessary.

Give it a break...59 technical issues in 59 precincts{in one state alone} ..all having zero votes for Romney.
As said these are the obvious glaring ones...how many more...with just a few points worth of fraud.
Enough about liberal fraud though...not wanting to derail the thread with it.

Don't let the door hit you Teabillies in the ass on the way out ;)
