The liberal/statist/socialist definition of trickle down is the rich do not pay enough

What? Never mind, this is a complete waste of time having a mature discussion with you on this subject.

Well that 1% pays a disproportionate amount of the taxes already.
Something like the top 94% of the wealth is held by the top 7% of society. You want the bottom 93% who hold 6% of the wealth to pay 93% of the bills. You are hopeless.

Socialism does not work. The bank bailouts proved that.

So much for your financial acumen. LOL. How about Trickle Down, throwing money are rich people and HOPING they will do the right thing for society is the biggest joke I know. People will do what benefits themselves first and maybe, maybe after ensuring the well being of their families, might consider giving $100 to their favorite charity.

I think your idea of a mature discussion is for me to buy into your beliefs. Sorry but I choose not to agree with socialism in any way shape or form. It has failed elsewhere and would never work here.

He's not a conservative... he is a libertarian... got it?

This statement is a big deal to you? While there are differences in the libertarian views, when it comes to many governmental issues his positions fall in line with conservative thinking.

Curious: what libertarian views do you think fall in line with your liberal views?

I really need to ask you... Why are almost every one of your posts in this section questions? I mean take a moment and look through your last 100 or so posts and you will see a pattern of quick jabs, comments and questions but very little substance. You seem to have an unwillingness to put YOUR views out there.

To what purpose? Instead of me being accused of prejudice and filtering what I don't want to see, why don't you, professed Libertarian, tell me?

You might be surprised what we do agree on

Legalize MJ?

Legalize prostitution?

That is a start. Or a bad assumption on my part

I was not setting a trap. Just wanted some input from you.

I call myself libertarian because I don't agree with the socialist movement on the left nor the religious nuts on the right.

I support fiscal responsibility and people having the right to do much of what they please as long as it is not directly impacting others.

I forgot to add I am a very strict supporter of abortion rights. Until a fetus is viable outside of a womb I don't consider it any of my business unless it has to do with my family. For the life of me I do not get where people that have no relations with others have any business sticking their nose in somebodys business when it comes to abortion. It has no impact on them what so ever. Is there a societal impact? That is arguable but still does not trump liberty in my opinion.

So do I. Regarding the latter, does opening a public restaurant and then banning people of certain races from entering your establishment directly impact others?

Historically until a baby has the ability to survive outside the womb on its own, it had no civil rights. I'm not a supporter of abortion. I think individuals should take precautions and not use abortion as birth control, however, I don't want to see government involved in this issue. From this standpoint, I am pro-choice. However if you opt to kill an unborn baby even if it is not viable outside the womb, this is a personal failure and I look down upon those who can't take responsibility for their actions.

Robert Bork (do you remember him?) is a legal adviser to Mitt Romney. In a recent Newsweek Interview when asked what he had against Obama this was his answer:

“Aside from wrecking the economy and giving away a lot on foreign policy, I haven’t got any objections,” he retorts.

This is a prime example of Republicans refusing to admit their faults and attempting to push all of our economiv woes on the current President. Crass politics. How could any reasonable person trust their words?
