All I'm saying is by keeping his cool, Retro beat you in reply #487 or should I say he sounded more reasonable than you did whether he was telling the truth or not. If the purpose of a forum is to persuade people, even if someone attacks you from day one, maintaining a civil tone will win more points with those who count, the reasonable people (not the crazies). Using logic and reason is 1000x more effective than name calling and the vitriolic words you use constantly. That's not to say you are the only one who does this. That's my opinion. Sounds like we came from the same place. This seems to be a good solid fourm - the mods and admin have achieved the right balance and let us play. Best forum I've ever been a member of - not kissing as here, just giving credit where credit is due.

Most of the time when it comes to issues in this forum, I don't agree with Retro, not even in this case other than to say he kept his relative cool (which I approve of) while you're in full blown attack mode. I like your positions on most of your issues, I just don't like your method or your (quick?) temper. I was trying to make a point and what I've said over and over again is that keeping the rhetoric under control goes along way if not to win arguments, to impress others in the forum you are a reasonable mature person. Slinging shit, and acting immaturely, what Stone revels in, reduces the discussion to a meaningless exchange of hostility. Most forum members other than the ones vested in the argument bow out at that point.
