I actually said that to a fellow Kopite earlier! Though I was being sarcastic, then I said to hire that Villareal manager (the now sacked one) who's taken 2 clubs down from La Liga in 2 seasons. I want him to make it a third relegation in 3 seasons!

I found it pretty funny on Twitter last night, lots of Liverpool fans saying Rodgers and Martinez are small club managers not suited for a club like Liverpool and that they need someone like Capello or AVB. You could have Jose bloody Mourihno and it's not going to guarantee you success. Wigan's had their problems but I still think Martinez is a decent manager and he did great things for Swansea. Not bothered about who they go for, (as long as it's not Rodgers!) I just like the fact "King Kenny's" last game as a Liverpool manager was a 1-0 defeat to Swansea

Liverpool are reportedly going to speak to a number of candidates. Villas Boas is rumored too.

Liverpool would be fine for Martinez, it's a step up and clearly he feels he can do a good job there to get them higher than 8th.

Wigan MUST keep Martinez, he's the kind of manager Wigan need. I'd be tempted by Villa-Boras but yet his C.V. in English football isn't good.
