This referee in the Sevilla-Barcelona game is poor. He denies Barcelona a perfectly legitimate goal when Messi scores a free kick, claiming there was pushing in the wall, there wasn't, and the turning down a stone wall penalty. 1-1 at the moment, Bojan scored Barca's goal. I hope the ref dies of aids for this performance.

Yeah i enjoyed that first game, felt they were both correct decisions. Draw at Sevilla isn't so bad and it's still a 5 point lead (6 if you count the head to head) so there are positives to be taken. Valencia got a hammering last night too.

Hey Ian. Looks like your team is on the lookout for yet another manager!

Coventry City sack manager Aidy Boothroyd

Coventry City have sacked manager Aidy Boothroyd following a run that has seen them win just once in 16 league games.
Boothroyd was appointed as Sky Blues boss in May 2010 following the departure of Chris Coleman.
Assistant boss Martin Pert has also left while first-team coach Steve Harrison and chief scout Andy Thorn have been put in temporary charge.
Coventry are now looking for their 10th manager in 10 years since Gordon Strachan left in September 2001.
A statement on the club website said: "We would like to place on record our thanks to Aidy and Martin for their efforts.
"We will not be holding a media conference today as the team is preparing for the match at Burnley tomorrow."

But Ian, I thought you were getting promoted this year? This is a strange way to go about it!

Jens Lehmann could make a playing return to Arsenal apparently. He's going there anyway to do his coaching badges so might join the squad because of Arsenal's goalkeeper problems. This pleases me no end, mad Jens was awesome.

Owen Hargreaves and Ji Sung Park also trained separately today for our Champions league game tomorrow night. Hopefully Park makes it to the bench, if not tonight then Saturday. Hargreaves will hopefully return at some point, though I passed the hopeful stage a while ago, I will credit him though for being determined enough to try and keep his career. Nani trained with the rest of the quad which is really good news.

boothroyd was naive, theres the club standing 4th in the table using players on low wages brought in from lower leagues,so he brought in high earner marlon king, not only causing resentment from the rest of the squad but upsetting a fine balance....it didn't help that he kept stating that the team wasn't good enough to outplay a team so they had to work harder....talk about a confidence hitter

He's not even that good. One minor spell of success at watford, but then failure everywhere else.
