Can you spell Liverpool correctly? I don't particularly think he is the best. There are others who are clearly better than Carragher by a mile. I don't blame him entirely on the poor performances at the earlier part of the season, but to publicly state that Hodgson was a good manager for Liverpool really put a downer on what I thought about him. Didn't rate him as world class, never will. Won't even class him as a legend. Most of the Liverpool players from 91/92 - current date will never be classed as legends, Carragher and Gerrard will be in that status of never being a legend. To be a legend you have to be someone special and spectacular for the team you play for.

From an outside perspective, I'd say Carragher and Gerrard have done enough to justify being called legends. Sure Carragher's not as quick or effective as he used to be but I'd still say in his earlier career he was pretty good. Gerrard I'd certainly say is a legend because of the amount of times he's dragged Liverpool from the mud in games.
But then the debate begins about what constitutes a legend. Some Wycombe fans called Roy Essandoh a legend because of what he did in that FA Cup tie. That's one goal. But to some of them he's a legend.

They haven't done enough in my opinion to be regarded as legends. And I am sure that is the same for many fans of Liverpool.
They probably will still hold them in high esteem because they are from the local area, but regarding them as legends, I doubt it

Local area does perhaps come into the legends argument, but I think what you do at the club matters more.
Gerrard won Liverpool the 2005 Champions League, and the 2006 FA Cup.
Much like Cantona and Schmeichel won us the League in 1996 from Newcastle. There's nothing wrong with having one player to win things for you.

Apparently he's after coming back, which would make the dedication make sense given how he left. Barcelona need to raise funds for the Fabregas and Rossi deals. I think they have to set aside about 80m euro for the deals. Fabregas they would be prepared to go up to 50m, whereas Rossi is coming to Barcelona and Bojan going the other way. Forget the tabloid talk of 40m, the deal won't be that much, it'll be 30m + Bojan for Rossi.
