I've actually had conversations with black people discussing the word nigger and they were totally fine with it.
Because it's painting a race in one particular manner; by modern standards, I think that is mildly racist. But I refer you to my earlier example of 'White day', that would also be mildly racist, but it'd still be funny to me.
Let's face it, as long as people can distinguish the humour in such events, there will be no harm done. Imagine if comedy wasn't allowed to make use of some racist or sexist overtones - there'd be a lot of out of work comedians!
Well, It's not used at all where I live, I only heard it when I was in London so I really don't know, the person who told me what it meant might not have actually known! tbh, there wouldn't be alot of black people over here and from what I've seen most of the black people here are actually directly from Nigeria and places like that as opposed to the states or England where they're British and American, to me that seems to be when that whole "gangsta" type image comes about............correct me if I'm wrong?
