Satan is not a part of people. People aren't forced to do bad things, we're only have to endure bad things and temptation. Since the fall of Adam, Satan has been the ruler of this world >_>. We suffer because of Adam's mistake, but we're not forced to repeat it. We don't have to do bad things, it's just in our nature. =/
Edit: Bad things happen because man was weak and lost the earth to Satan.
Not trying to come down hard on you but...
Your statement is gross simplification and fabrication of the world we exist in. No, we are not forced, we are tempted, that is true, but the temptation is created by our scheming minds when presented with normal everyday situations. It does not take a devil to create opportunities in life to be good or bad.
I'm sorry but I feel that, anyone who accepts Adam and Eve as literal gospel likes believing in tall tales to keep themselves in line. What is bad is the story of Adam and Eve is one of the weakest parts of the Bible that screams sexism and completely eradicates the concept of a fair and just, loving God, but instead reveals him to be a petty, mean spirited entity, not worthy of spiritual leadership. It's the type of gobbledegook, that defies logical thinking on the part of the believers.
Instead of blaming the boogieman, I'd be much happier with a God who lets us live our lives with a purpose, and the purpose is to present us with opportunities to improve ourselves. That is not the act of a vengeful, unforgiving, or petty or God and is a great opportunity. But who is to say that is not the case? I see a world where this is true. Do you actually see the world as the human race being punished because Adam and Eve failed to follow the rules and Satan has taken over or were you just speaking figuratively?
