Jones might be the best wrestler I've seen in MMA, you see so many guys come in with these amazing credentials and then fail to live up to them, like that worthless piece of shit Mark Munoz(LOL I hate that fucking guy) and then someone like Jon Jones who takes down whoever they want whenever they want, the only other guys I've seen that can do that are Matt Lindland, Chael Sonnen, Dan Henderson and randy Couture, I think them along with Jones are the top 5 best wrestlers in MMA.

LOL, Munoz is a bit of a twat.

You know who's pissed me off? Brandon Vera.:mad:thumbdown I literally thought thought he was going somewhere. Turned out to be such a useless, lazy, excuse-making piecs of shit.

Good list, btw - but I think I'd have to add Frankie Edgar and GSP to it - they seem to takedown who ever they want, too.:D:thumbup

Yeah GSP definitely belongs up there with them, though I'm not so sure about Edgar, he is definitely a great wrestler but I don't know if I'd say top 5-10. My top 10 would look like

1. Matt Lindland
2. Chael Sonnen
3. Dan Henderson
4. Randy Couture
5. Jon Jones
6. GSP
7. Ben Askren
8. Josh Koscheck
9. Jon Fitch
10. Jake Rosholt

I can't stand Josh Koscheck, so he wouldn't be on my list! LOL

Anyone besides me watch the fights tonight? :eek

Sure did!

Silva's KO was amazing.
...Felt terrible for Vitor, however.

The thing about Koscheck, I LOVE watching him fight but I HATE him as a person, if all he did were fight and was never given access to a microphone I could be a fan. I know there hasn't been much or Rosholt because of injuries and whatnot but he is a wrestling legend, the way he man handled Chris Leben was beautiful.

He's a cunt...(Kos)...and so is Leben, lol.
...Unfortunately for me, if I don't like you as a person, I don't care how good you are at anything you do. I know that's probably ignorant of me, but I don't care.

Speaking of Jake, do you think he'll return anytime soon?

Apparently he fought just the other day, on Jan. 29th, beating some nobody by Guillotine choke, that's great to hear, hopefully he gets a couple wins like that under his belt and makes it back into a big show.

Sounds much like what Jens Pulver is doing at the moment. But I don't see 'Little Evil' ever returning to the big house.

Jens is done, he can still take some small time guys but he's old and worn out. Speaking of Jake Rosholt though, take a look at what I just found, this is what happens when everybody's HERO Phil Davis is pitted against a legitimate WRESTLING LEGEND like Jake Rosholt, and there's even a guest appearance by Ben Askren! :)

WOW! He's awesome. He did such a fab job against Phil Davis... I bet alot of people didn't see that coming!

Speaking of wrestlers, I didn't see Dan Severn on your Top 10 list... Any particular reason?

They were both world class wrestlers, especially Severn, I don't know what happened to Frye, after he left the UFC he pretty much abandoned his wrestling and GNP style he was known for and became a brawler, it was more entertaining to watch but he was just never as good of a fighter after that, his best fights were in PRIDE but I think he actually fought at his best in the UFC, he never gets credit for his wrestling because

1. Most people haven't seen his UFC fights when he actually used to utilize it

2. He was soundly outwrestled by Mark Coleman in his last UFC fight, and ever since then Coleman has always been given full credit for being the WRESTLER in the early days, and even given credit for INVENTING the Ground and Pound style when Don Frye had already been using it consistently and effectively since before Coleman came on the scene, IMO Frye is the real originator of the GNP but he'll never be credited for it since Coleman was better at it and came around about the same time

And Severn is/was a great wrestler too, one of the best HW wrestlers to compete in MMA, and is actually scheduled to fight for a HW title in some I think Canadian fight promotion soon.

I was never a big fan of Coleman; he's too cocky imo.

I was fortunate enough to see all the old school UFC / PRIDE fighters fight back in the early 90's.

In fact, my boyfriend (at the time) was a wrestler and boxer and took me to my very first UFC fight, which was actually UFC 1 back in 93'. I've been hooked on MMA ever since and have been to many UFC fights since then. Unfortunately, never to any PRIDE fights.

Severn, Frye, Taktarov, Gracie . . .even Shamrock were my very first favorites... Until Ken Shamrock opened his mouth. What a cock. lol.

Same thing as far as Matt Hughes goes, I really liked him as a fighter. . .until he opened his mouth.

I'm a big fan of all the HammerHouse guys, they may be cocky an have big mouths but they're also some of the toughest guys out there, I'll always respect Coleman, Randleman and Baroni, but TBH I don't know wtf Wes Sims is even doing there lol, he brings nothing to the table.
