This topic is not about terrorist's, or the crimes that terrorists have committed. It is about the amount of our American soldiers who have died, to the amount of people who could of lived if stem cell research.
Leaving out ALL ethical issues stem cells vs. war on terror.

We haven't lost that many soldiers in Iraq. 
Plus, you're comparing it to something that may or may not yield medical advances. Many people out there would have you believe that stem-cell research will make the blind see, and the paralyzed walk, but that is entirely hypothetical at this point.
I think the field holds promise, but not more so than any other. Quite the opposite in fact.

Both reasons why me and my friend stopped arguing about it 2 pages ago.
There was no specification if it was embryonic stem cells so defeat the terrorists and use their stem cells. Which means drawing some blood or bone marrow and sending them home to suicide bomb another day.

No? Our being there just creates more resentment towards us, which spreads among the people.

Again resentment for what? Destroying a dictator that has committed genocide and fed his political opponents into wood chippers? Or perhaps they resent us for fighting the taliban who abuse and oppress women. Again if they resent us for that then they were already terrorists long before we got there.

I do wonder about teh social ramifications of this tech would be. Would it be available to everyone or just the rich and powerful, would insurance cover it. Then i wonder about the long term impact of an increase in population around the world would have on planet earth.
I am for stem cells, but, they are not perfect. Probably the biggest problem is that we can always get them to stop growing and they turn in to tumors sometimes.

Seems a strange comparison to me. You can be for or against both of them without a clash of interests. I really don't see a situation where one has to be abolished in favour of the other.
We were trying to decide if a politician who was for stem cell research or for ending the war would be more usefull.
Resentment for trying to run their culture. I'm not denying that its a good thing that Saddam is gone, its good. I'm talking about how we basically go around ordering the entire world what to do. We've been doing it for a while now. I'm not just talking about the middle east.
