Leaving out ALL ethical issues stem cells vs. war on terror.

You are right, the fight is really against klingons. They after all attacked on 911 and not the mythical terrorists.
You're missing what I am saying. Of course terrorists attacked on 9/11. All I am saying is that it's impossible to "fight a war on terror" and expect it to be destroyed forever. Terrorism isn't some distinguishable body of people with uniforms and well defined countries, they are everywhere. You can't fight ideas with bullets.

Yes you can attack the ideology that drives it along with the groups or nations that support it.

If I lived in a place like Iran or Iraq I would welcome them with open arms. Unless they were worse than the oppressive government I lived under.
The point lays in the principle of it all. Once you invade a region for less than respectable aims, and make them change their government to a form that YOU need to be satisfied by etc etc etc, its going to breed hate towards you.

If I lived in an oppressive environment like say.. Nazi Germany, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran or North Korea. You honestly think I will care what reason the US invades for?

Nooooo you're missing the point. The thing in question is what breeds terrorism. Our interventionist foreign policy does. We can't just go around invading countries at a whim for strategic military footholds, like Iraq was about.

There has been terrorism before we invaded anybody. And who have we invaded recently that would cause a normal everyday person to become a terrorist?
Afghanistan? The same country that treated women like dogs or slaves?
Or Iraq where the leader would feed his political opponents into wood chippers and his son would roam the streets grabbing women to rape and torture for fun?
Anybody who stands up and fights for that is a terrorist long before the US invaded.

Who here knows what Bush has done for Stem-cell research that no other president had ever done? :)

Who here knows what medical advances have come from stem cell research? :)

Short answers: He gave federal funding, and "none."

Have human embryonic stem cells been used successfully to treat any human diseases yet?
Scientists have only been able to do experiments with human embryonic stem cells (hESC) since 1998, when a group led by Dr. James Thomson at the University of Wisconsin developed a technique to isolate and grow the cells. Moreover, federal funds to support hESC research have only been available since August 9, 2001, when President Bush announced his decision on federal funding for hESC research. Because many academic researchers rely on federal funds to support their laboratories, they are just beginning to learn how to grow and use the cells. Thus, although hESC are thought to offer potential cures and therapies for many devastating diseases, research using them is still in its early stages.

People who hate Bush for Stem-cell issues very rarely have the facts.

As far as the OP goes, I would have to pretty much agree with Tim.

Of course there was terrorism before us, but the number of insurgence has been markedly seen to have increased since involvement.
