Resentment for trying to run their culture. I'm not denying that its a good thing that Saddam is gone, its good. I'm talking about how we basically go around ordering the entire world what to do. We've been doing it for a while now. I'm not just talking about the middle east.
Run their culture? You mean when we tell places like Iran it's wrong to execute people for being gay, or it's wrong to oppress women under some barbaric sharia law? Or hang 16 year old girls for mysterious crimes of chastity, or whipping a rape victim half to death simply because she was alone with strange men?
Or maybe when we gripe at China for having about 60 different crimes that can bring the death penalty and no due process.
Anybody who stands up for those kinds of cultural norms are terrorists to begin with.

lol, we're just as guilty of all of those things. Look up how we've trained organizations in south America to commit genocide on people, and basically all the other things you mentioned din the past. We're just as bad in some cases.

Of course all of that is terrible, no one is denying that at all. But you're using an appeal to emotion to make a point, which is a logical fallacy and doesn't say much.

But you're still missing the point. Iraq wasn't about terrorism or freeing the Iraqi people.

So because of the past it is now wrong to fight against those things? That's crazy.
The US used to enslave and oppress black people. Would it have been wrong for the US to later oppose other nations that continued to do so?

The philosophy of debate is irrelevant when it comes to the real world.

It does not matter what you think Iraq was about, the result is a free Iraq.
Like I said before, if I lived under an oppressive regime would it matter to me if the US destroyed that regime for the purposes of freeing me or for the purpose of having strategic control over oil? The motivation will not matter to a peasant like me.
