Something fishy about CaseHD...
Try telling that to a court of law... write me a letter from jail telling me how it went. :24:Fine call me a criminal, i'll call you a tool. If I had extra money lying around I would by the album that I want. I mean its not like I dont like owning an original copy of something, case and booklet and all. But just because I dont have the cash doesn't mean I should be deprived of listening to the album. The artists, and huge production cooperation behind him wouldn't have gotten my money anyways. I'm not gonna lose sleep over it, and I'm sorry that you have such large moral obligations to coorperation that probably could care less about you.
Musicians aren't payed by sponsorships, lol. Try again.Perfect example:
Micheal Jordan...
He got paid more from Nike... or other sponsors than he did playing basketball..
Go figure right? Anyone crying about music business losing money. Just stop now.
I don't understand... how does a person use illegal downloading as a way to pay bills? It depends on who you ask that question to. If it's a person using illegal downing loading as a way to pay bills, they would say, no. They think they they are making a living. If you ask an artist who work hard and want monies and credit for his or her work, of course it's stealing. So, to it's hard to answer your question because it's kind of broad.
What people don't know is that people in the music business get paid long before their CD or Album is released....
Pirate it up!!!
That's a tough call. I'd say, if they buy it knowing it was a pirated copy, then yes. If they had no idea it was a pirated copy, then no.They sell cd's and dvds. So is the person buying it stealing it also?
If a Thief stole a painting and sold it to a collector, and that collector knew the painting was stolen, I think the collector would be guilty of a more minor offence, but I can't recall right now what the crime is called. Music is art in exactly the same way a painting is art. It's no different. They sell cd's and dvds. So is the person buying it stealing it also?
Situational ethics? I took your post and replaced the crime of piracy with another. Tell me what you think.I download music. I'm not going to deny it. Personally i don't see it as wrong. I mean, the music industry is worth a lot, and the artists earn lots and lots. And plus, people do still buy music and pay for it. It's a financial thing with me too, i cant afford to buy every new album. Plus, there might be an album that i just want the one song off, so to pay £12 for one song is slightly ludicrous.

I've stolen cars. I'm not going to deny it. Personally i don't see it as wrong. I mean, people have insurance against theft, and the insurance industry earns lots and lots. And plus, people do still buy cars and pay for them. It's a financial thing with me too, i cant afford to buy every new car. Plus, there might be a car that i just want to drive for one date, so to pay £12K for one date is slightly ludicrous.
Nice sidestep. Care to take it head on?I wouldn't bother with a £12k car. Something that ugly isn't worth stealing.
