Those were your words and your claim and The Man obviously read it correctly.
Denying it is silly.

And as far as decriminalizing pot use/abuse......you've provided no expert opinion inferring that decriminalization of use/abuse would promote pushers.
You make unfounded claims.

The object is to decrease drug abuse where it's a societal hazard.....your argument is to increase use/abuse that would obviously increase the detrimental effects drug abuse/addiction has on our society, which you aren't even a member of since you live outside the US and are not a US citizen.
Why are you so intent on attacking the US and corrupting it with drug abuse/addiction issues?

Because it is doing more harm than good and has no moral justification for existing.

DL

But you are not getting rid of pushers.. Your only replacing them from illegal to legal ones.. ;)

Correct...................................
DL

GIA.......that is the promotion of pushers.
How are you going to stop them from selling to minors? Laws? We already have laws against selling those drugs to minors.
Your child prevention fantasy is all smoke and mirrors and there is nothing added to restricting drugs being sold to minors.
The difference is more adults have legal access and like alcohol in the home, access to these legalized drugs becomes as simple as with alcohol.

We are talking of prohibition. Pay attention.

DL

Actually your thread is about

Is it time to legalize pot and reduce the death rate of tobacco and alcohol

But you have yet to shown how it would do such.

In reality the only thing you would accomplish is more readily access to pot .
How in the hell having more readily access to pot will cut down on tobacco usage is beyond us all.

Its your thread...your claim..so please explain to us how this will work.

And please no riddles...that are beginning to make you come across as a troll

I wasn't talking about prohibition.....I was asking why you attack the society I live in and you don't.

And you responded:

Because it is doing more harm than good and has no moral justification for existing.

Like I posted......that explains a lot.
And I'll ask again and again until you respond to my last serious question.

Would you like to see all of Western society destroyed?

After GIA inadvertently admitted to seeking the destruction of our society, I strongly suspect there are political reasons behind the structuring of this thread.
It's not the typical pot thread.
It goes directly to advocating a culture of drug abuse and addiction whose outcome would be debasing our current way of life and influence.

Agreed ...even the thread title alone is a statement with serious flaws.
We are at about 450 posts...with nothing to support his claim...just dodging of issue by GIA.
He is trying to run his thread as an advertisement{agenda} rather than a discussion ,debate

It is all about marketing. The more products in the store, the less people will stick to the tried and it will promote those who are into smoking to try something less damaging to health.
Unless you think people will choose the less healthy.

As to an easier supply through our medical system, they already want it.

So the US is doing more harm than good and has no moral justification for existing?...I am in shock to see a statement from a Canadian.

You mimic Stones in his applying that statement to the wrong issue.
The issue is prohibition and not the U S.

It is all about marketing.
Meaning....you're in the business of selling drug abuse and addiction.

The more products in the store,
The greater the choices of abuse and addictions......pretty simple logic there.

.... it will promote those who are into smoking to try something less damaging to health.
Studies, and I've posted them, show people that abuse drugs use combinations. That right there knocks out your 'claims'.

Unless you think people will choose the less healthy.
If health was their main concern, drug abusers and addicts wouldn't be involved in a culture of drug abuse to start with......again, no value to your 'claims'.

As to an easier supply through our medical system, they already want it.
I suspect abusers and addicts will get them any way they can and pharmaceutical drug abuse and addiction is rampant.

Would you like to see all of Western society destroyed?

Pot is not a substitute for nicotine addiction.
Your argument is rather lame and would be the same as..."lower whiskey sales by putting koolaid on the shelf"

Wanna try again?
