I really hope it's not. I go out of my way to be considerate to people. And I've realized it is always worth it, even if they don't acknowledge it.

A moment of magic
is touched by the brightness of your eyes,
Celebrated in kindness,
Fulfilled in a simple generosity,
Held by a secret
that you only know,
In the twinkling of an eye
came the reflection of your smile
touched in the joy of a heart,
A warrior in shining armor
came to take your hand
sacred in chivalry,
Victory is in the grasp of romance
and forever after's
came in a moment of time,
A moon touches on a new beginning,
And the will of heaven
foresees what the future will bring.

lol not in my case, my dad is the most non-chivalrous person on the planet. In the end we are all responsible for our own beliefs and our own actions, we choose to say what we say and do what we do, you can't just blame the parents.

Unless.....we're raised to think for ourselves.....not blaming the parents, just trying to make sense out of why some people think that chialry is old fashioned while others believe it to be alive and well in the 21st century.

Chivalry is alive because I say it is, I don't care what the rest of the world is doing, for me it is alive and well, I respect woman and know how they should be treated.

dunno what this statement has to do with 'chivalry'??

and know how they should be treated.

maybe you don't know what "Chivalry" actually means?

World English Dictionary chivalry (ˈʃɪvəlrɪ)

— n , pl -ries
1. the combination of qualities expected of an ideal knight, esp courage, honour, justice, and a readiness to help the weak
2. courteous behaviour, esp towards women
3. the medieval system and principles of knighthood
4. knights, noblemen, etc, collectively

I don't mind a little bit of chivalry, but I'm the type of girl in which I hate people doing things for me too much, it's like saying I'm incapable of doing everything I normally do anyway, chivalry is only good if it's really needed. In some parts it's dead, some parts it's not. Depends on the way the guy was raised.

I didn't mean you to go teaching ...just wondered why men try to "pity' women and how come they call it
Chivalry?? I think that is Chauvinism??
I have known some Chivalrous women who have 'sacrificed' a lot for Men!!
