when you're rich enough to own 2 or 3 private jets then you make too much fucking money for what you do... Tell me what a fucking Football player does that any joe blow with the same training couldn't do?

Well. They have natural athletic ability and either very good hands and/or vision that can't be taught. Also, generally they earned their stripes through school and kept themselves in the physical condition required to play at a certain level. then they stood out by being better than everyone else to be noticed by scouts and have moderate-good success in college.

Frankly - they're all freaks of nature - but the real money is with the owners paying out those checks. Go to school kids.

get tackled hard......get hurt......take a deep breath......and get on with it

anyone can play any sport,but.......only a few can play it to a good standard.....its not only about being able to kick/throw/catch etc......its about knowing whats going on around you while under extreme pressure and delivering the goods

lets face it,some people freeze up while giving a speech at a wedding......top sports stars perform in front of tens of thousands

The only reason athletes earn so much is because we love to pay out that much. If nobody paid athletes any attention there would be no money in the business. Not to mention athletes are recognized by name and face which makes them great for marketing or creating their own brands.

Athletes definitely have a natural ability just like some people have natural abilities in science or math. Only watching somebody perform math equations isn't nearly as exciting as watching football.

Because they do something that pays that money. A free market is not fair, but you are free to earn money on your own too.

I know but I have no hard feelings toward someone smarter than me creating something everyone benefits from and makes a ton of money. I just look at someone who is gifted with a ball or a stick differently than someone who does good for everyone. A lot of athletes are lousy stewards of the money and their God given talent.

So would it be better if the owners got all of that money?
