most of them didnt truly earn that money...i can tell you of backbreaking jobs that pay $10 an hour, and you are telling me an actor, no matter how good (or good looking) is truly worth $10 million for a movie?

Okay, but let's look at this with fiscal responsibility. The guy swinging the hammer has a much lower skill level than that of a business man or of an athlete. He is easily replaced by an open market filled with people willing to swing the hammer for $10/hour so his market is saturated. If it requires skills like say a plumber or an electrician they earn more because of skill level and labor union wage agreements. How many people are available to do back breaking labor and how many can perform the job of an athlete? They cross section is much greater than you are leading it to be in your point.
Yea I was thinking that while I was writing it, but I figured that seems to be the heart of the problem here.
