If god is perfect and made everything, then he made what makes people do these things. And no, I'm not really believing in a god and its a huge relief, I dont think I could cope with believing that a perfect person could allow my baby to die. The fact that there isn't a god gives me comfort because it's easier to accept that shit just happens than to believe that my baby could have been saved but a perfect and good god just didn't give a fuck.

In all honesty Peter I totally hear what your saying in regards of the written scripture...i honestly do not follow that fiction, I believe in something yes....
But you cant call god a cunt...when you dont even believe hes there.....that would be completely hypocritcal! You can question peoples views.....but ya cant call him out as a sack of shit when you just said you dont even beleive in him?T
Anyway...im waffling shit now...so im gonna shurrup. Now give us a kiss cuz my fingers hurt from writing crap

I wasn't saying I believed in him. There are people on here who do though and I was talking hypothetically. If there was a perfect god of the Bible, that you believe in, then, yeah, he's a right cunt. I'm sure most people who believe in the god of the Bible wouldn't have much of a problem with me calling Hitler a cunt yet what they believe their god has done is far worse.
Why they take it so personal beats me too, I'm not calling them a cunt, just what they believe in one. Thats the point of the debate section. If we cant even slag off each others beliefs, then there is no debate, it dosen't mean I'm slagging the person off though.

I never said you where Peter...but to call something a cunt it has to real..you said you didnt believe, so there is no cunt?
Hitler was real....look Im not arguing with ya, i agree with some of your points, im just saying there is no one to blame but us. And really although I do beleive there is a higher deity, and i think life can be a bastard....I dont hold responsibilty on anyone but life!
;) K?....now im still waiting for ya to pucker up...dont make me piss in your cider.

I said I was talking hypothetically.

That means, putting myself in someone elses shoes and what they believe in to get my point about their beliefs accross.

I was saying IF there was a god and IF he is the god talked about in the Bible, then he would be a right cunt.

why don't people understand that when we say "ALL THINGS" IT LITERALLY MEANS ALL THINGS. Murderous thoughts can not exist without god's consent.

the existence of free will with or without a god is very debatable.

however, even if you truly did have free will, you'd still choose to murder someone based off of murderous thoughts that god allowed to exist, and initially created.

yes, and you still don't see that those concepts exist because god allows them to and foresaw them/intended for them to happen. Think about it, NOTHING happens unless god intends it to happen because if things happen that god DID NOT intend, they wouldn't happen because they would technically be out of god's foreknowledge and power.

just because you know something is going to happen and created the circumstances in which it could happen doesn't mean you intended for it to happen, as dumb as that may sound to you, it's like not having children just because you know they'll fail at something or other later on, if that makes any sense

WHAT, all of that stuff you just described exactly means that it was intended.

Picture god, before he created everything, ok? He's sitting there thinking; "Ok, I'm going to will EVERYTHING that will ever exist into existence now. I'm going to create the concept of lying, and make the situations exist where lying can take place in. I know little bobby will lie a lot in his life, but I'm going to still create him, the concept of lying and the conditions where he will lie in, even though I know that he will lie because of what I will now create and probably go to hell for it".

i guess that's where we can't progress from then, cuz it makes sense to me and it can't make sense to you, and same with what you said because we most likely have different concepts of what hell, free will, and destiny are -_-;

I dont see how you think the Bible and Church dosent condone genocide seeing the god of the Bible committed it and the Pope covered it over during the time of the Nazis.

Regarding God are you talking about The Flood? If so that's made up. ;)

Regarding the Church you may have a point however I would hope the majority of religions today would condemn genocide.
