I have not been an MJ fan in a long time. Yes, he did influence the music industry but I also believe he was a very sick individual.

God I love this thread :D

:thumbup:thumbup:thumbup

It runs the gamut.

My thoughts are that though he changed or greatly effected the music industry, I can't wax poetic over his death. When he built Neverland, that was a big clue something was wrong with him. When he chose hanging out with famous children over pursuing an adult life, that was another. As he underwent countless plastic surgeries and procedures to destroy his identity as a black man, he crossed the line from eccentricity to pathological.

I haven't been able to enjoy his music for decades. He's just too disturbing and though I overlook the eccentric behavior of other singing artists and love their music, as far as I know they aren't pedophiles.

Today at the grocery store, the clerk asked if I wanted to donate $1 to the Children's Miracle Network. I said no.

When I came home I told Amber that if they really wanted a miracle for children, they should take up a donation for castrating Michael Jackson. I'd give $5.

Then he died.

So just on the off chance that my jokes can kill celebrities, I'd like to change my joke into buying singing lessons for Dave Matthews.

RIP Dave. :fing27

nice:clap

got any Celine Dion jokes?:p
Maybe.

Think about all the musical greats who have died tragically young: Jimi Hendrix, Keith Moon, Kurt Cobain, the good half of the Beatles, most of Skynyrd, Bon Scott, and dozens of others.

The only conclusion I can reach from this is that Jesus must love a good concert.

You'll notice Celine Dion and Dave Matthews are still with us.

I agree that Michael Jackson was a troubled individual, but, I draw the line at casting judgement stones. Like OJ Simpson, MJ was found not guilty. I hope that his troubled soul is now at peace.

You're Canadian, you shouldn't be hating on Celine! :p
I see that. :p

Karma may kill your dogma, iffin' yer not careful. :ninja
Actually I'd say karma got MJ and OJ. They're both going to die woefully in debt with their legacies tarnished. I'm gonna die in a raucous orgy with 15 women. :dunno

I'm just saying it has to suck knowing the fall you've taken. Going from one of the top 10 all-time running backs to a suspected double-murderer or going from one of the top 10 all-time musical talents to a suspected pedophile can't be fun.

And how did you know I wanted to be tied down? :D

What would it take to reunite the Beatles?
