And you're right, it doesn't matter either way - because either way it's a completely unsupported statement with no basis in fact. That sort of thing doesn't make people think about their beliefs, it makes them roll their eyes and move on.

Debate does not take place here at all because when you debate you can't be worried about people's "feelings" when challenging their beliefs.
