I don't know if his statistic is correct. But it is true that in research done, gay men and women report a significantly higher rate of childhood molestation than heterosexual men and women.

Again, I would like to see some of that research.
I don't buy for a second that molestation or sexual experiences can influence sexuality.

It isn't stupid that there is a correlation. It is what it is.
It is sad that so many children are sexually molested.
yeah it is sad...But I can't see that having anything to do with their sexuality...that's just absurd.
Don't tout that as a fact. I would like to see a reliable source showing me that correlation before it's stated that way, please.
It is no secret that our sexual behaviors and relationships can be impacted by traumas such as rape and molestation. Does this mean this is proof that people 'turn gay' due to these traumas? No, it doesn't. It is a correlation.
Well now you're going on a different subject here. Of course lives can be impacted by traumas...and it can affect relationships and the way we act sexually...but there's no proof or evidence that i have seen where it can turn someone gay.
Sexual behaviors, relationships, fine. Those are not the same thing as sexual orientation. I'm completely gay, but that's not to say I've never or will never in the future sleep with a woman. That's a behavior.
All I want to see is some sort of research or similar that backs up the correlation between homosexuality and childhood sexual abuse. In general, even. I'm open to hearing about it from anyone here, but I'd just like to see some proof, which is the basis of a good argument anyway.
