I don't think we should waste tax payers money on the educations of kids who will not finish college. As for the ones with a greater chance I would say yes. It would jut depend for me, on if they had like an actually criteria for it. They have to have a 3.5 GPA and above or something. Also, if college was free for anyone who graduated high school, think of how less students would work to get things like scholarships and such. I think there should be far more governmentally funded scholarships for students, but, I don't think it should be free for everyone.
I agree ! It is a great idea.. hell, maybe im biased because i will be graduating college shortly and have a huge amount of student loans staring me in the face.. it honestly makes me regret going back for a second degree. i just got done paying the loans from the first one and now i have more.. so yeah, free college is a great idea but i dont think it should be for everyone. there should definitely be some resctrictions. like a certain gpa.. or even better....... say that when one finishes college and finishes with a degree and a certain gpa then their student loans will be paid back for them. that way, the people who do not finish or dont work hard will not benefit.

I think the system is fine. Other programs are already struggling from funding, and no one wants raised taxes. The way it is now, you CAN get into a decent four-year college with a ton of government support/funding, and it most definitely helps a teenager learn about money and responsibility right quick and in a hurry.

Even kids that work INCREDIBLY hard to get good, or even full-ride scholarships, won't. A lot of them still end up in debt from school 20 years down the rode, which just, isn't right.

I work pretty hard at my college, but its up to he person to determine how hard they want to work to put them out of their own hole.
Life isnt fair, it never will be. I think there is adqueate funding for a typical 4 year education between grants, loans, scholarships, and working jobs. If you want to be a be a med studant, I am sure you WILL create debt. At the end of your education, youll make more than enough to pay off a few years of med school/masters. Its up to the person to see how hard they want to work, and if the ends justify the means. I am personally content with my 4-year college university.
