I agree completely.

"You cannot prove that something doen't exist "

You are right with this statement yet you definitely state that the supernatural does not exist after admitting you cannot prove your statement.

DL

until it's proven to exist, it simply doesn't exist.

same as the tooth fairy. A great story, but unproven.

As no idea do fish have
about what is outside water,
humans, too, do not know
what is beyond reason.
All reasons go to grave
when fish is out of water,
when humans pop off;
there is God or no God
Or, there is God but God
Life represents it
death testifies it.

cute. A false analogy tho. Fish exist. Water exists. Dry land exists. God - no one knows either way.

so what you're saying is that humans cannot comprehend what is outside the natural world. Fair enough, I can accept that the human race has no idea what's outside the natural world we live in.

So with that in mind, how can anyone dare to claim they know?

Known is what our senses feel
Unknown is beyond that.
Comes the thought of a Creator
Or No Creator itself is a deal;

some secrets are hard to unfold
some truths are hard to trace;
how can I tell what's behind the wall?
Who's there above the space??

First reason out your doubts, man,
don't judge stars by their twinkling;
get down the waters to know their depth
from seashore bears no fruit surmising.

"If I can't see it, then it does not exist." I accept this as a belief system, but that does not mean things you don't know about don't exist. I'm not pushing belief, I am pushing open mindedness, the "what ifs" and possibilities. Do you feel 100% comfortable saying when we die, that is the absolute end of existence, just because you see a physical body die and decay?

That is the real unknown, what is behind the wall and does consciousness continue or end?

No, that's really no what I'm saying. I can't see India right now, but I've seen sufficient evidence that it does exist.

Ok I'm going to put this in caps, so you all understand my viewpoint:

THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE FOR THE EXISTANCE OF THE SUPERNATURAL WORLD.

and

THE BURDEN OF PROOF LIES IN THE HANDS OF THE BELIEVERS AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PROVE THAT SOMETHING DOES NOT EXIST.

so, until there is some proof, it doesn't exist except in the minds of the believers.

As for the afterlife, we do not know either way. And there's no way to know, until you die. I couldn't say 100% that there's nothing there, but given that all of the beliefs are based on refutable religious dogma, I'd happily wager 99.9% on there being fuck all after we die.

As I said, until there is proof, KNOW ONE knows either way. Not me, and certainly not a religious person. Yet, somehow bizarrely, the religious claim to know... but yet with no proof... I hate to say it, but to me, that is lunacy.

Ok.

Radiation did not exist till it was proven to exist.

We are done. I have no time for a fool.

Do you ever read what you write? That is without a doubt the silliest thing I've read in a long time. Well done sir!

Radiation DID exist. Otherwise we wouldn't have discovered it.

If you cannot see the idiocy in your argument, you sir, are the fool.

No that's not what I said, reread please.

so hang on, you know what's in the supernatural world?

if you know, you can prove it.

here is an example

You have a car...if you ask me what make it is and whatz it's registration number I won't be able to tell

2. You can't tell my ATM PIN nor can I tell yours..none of us can tell even if we have it ..though it is there...or
if this example doesn't fit you can replace PIN with your social security number, 'K???
the question is our inability to PROVE....How do I prove?? It's not correct that THERE IS NO PROOF..in fact the way to get the proof is beyond us;)

hi, welcome:)

I don't exist
you don't exist
nothing exists
because we haven't seen each other!!
Yet we KNOW each other
read each others thoughts
our hearts beat yearningly
to be one!!

so if proof is beyond us, how can anyone possibly claim to know there's a God, or an afterlife? After all, if you cannot prove it, how can you possibly know it exists?

I can if I fly over to your place and you show me around!!
the only difficulty is to overcome ''HOW TO??''

You said "until it can be proven, it does not exist." He was simply countering your statement. Throwing in the name calling just degrades the discussion.

if the retort to the current debate is that "even if something hasn't been proven to exist it still does exist because it is believed to exist" suggests to me that those who believe in god should also believe in aliens, ghosts, big foot, the lochness monster, elves, dwarves, goblins, zues, hera, rah etc., because their existence has also been put forth as actual in writings...or because you believe in something/have "faith" that it exists causes it to come into being,..if that is the case..then it would seem that you would be "god" as it were, because you have willed something into existence

(this is turning into the Tea Cup ride at Disney)
