"If I can't see it, then it does not exist." I accept this as a belief system, but that does not mean things you don't know about don't exist. I'm not pushing belief, I am pushing open mindedness, the "what ifs" and possibilities. Do you feel 100% comfortable saying when we die, that is the absolute end of existence, just because you see a physical body die and decay?
No, that's really no what I'm saying. I can't see India right now, but I've seen sufficient evidence that it does exist.
Ok I'm going to put this in caps, so you all understand my viewpoint:
THERE IS NOT ONE SINGLE SHRED OF EVIDENCE FOR THE EXISTANCE OF THE SUPERNATURAL WORLD.
and
THE BURDEN OF PROOF LIES IN THE HANDS OF THE BELIEVERS AS IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PROVE THAT SOMETHING DOES NOT EXIST.
so, until there is some proof, it doesn't exist except in the minds of the believers.
As for the afterlife, we do not know either way. And there's no way to know, until you die. I couldn't say 100% that there's nothing there, but given that all of the beliefs are based on refutable religious dogma, I'd happily wager 99.9% on there being fuck all after we die.
As I said, until there is proof, KNOW ONE knows either way. Not me, and certainly not a religious person. Yet, somehow bizarrely, the religious claim to know... but yet with no proof... I hate to say it, but to me, that is lunacy.
