Do you Believe in God?

My proclivity to words tells me that you don't remember saying this, which clearly states that you are not saying much now, i.e. WITHHOLDING.

I feel no need to write a novel on why I do or do not believe in God. I want to debate with people and it takes more then just me to do that. Even if I was " withholding" my thread accomplished just what I want it to do. I wanted it to spark a debate, and it did. It might not have been about the topic at hand, but it got me one none the less. So, all in all, mission accomplished.

Basically this has been debated over and over in this forum, to not much avail. Simply put by Breath in the beginning it's real hard to convince someone who does believe that he doesn't exist.

If he did not then why people call it the book of GOD?

Wtf? I really don't understand what you're trying to say, the words make sense individually but grouped together like this they don't. Any chance you can make this clearer? I know us English and the Americans here have different phrases and words but we tend to get by ok, this is complete double dutch to me though I'm afraid, can you even type it in normal American speech? That would be a great help, thanks!

Oh yes, lets attack the thread starter which has 20 posts and joined the day before yesterday be he OBVIOUSLY knows all about things that happened here in the past.

Fuck it though, someone lock this or something. I feel no need to defend myself for making a thread, and even if I did I'm just met with " oh I'm sure you do stand up comedy too." Like that is at all an intelligent or even worth-while reason to click the reply button.

For the record, I am undecided ( which I know sounds like a bullshit cop out ) and am leaning towards no.

Good God. And I say that to keep within the topic of the thread. You ASKED for a debate. Part of debating is the interaction that occurs between all of the parties. This is nothing. Wait until some of the real forum debaters get a hold of you. If you can't handle this, then don't ask a controversial question. No one asked you to defend yourself. I thought you were going to discuss your opinion about the question you posed in the OP. Now get your ass back here and stand up and be heard. No new language is required, just English or American or Australian English even, hell, I can speak a bit of French too. Is it that hard for you to communicate here?

Peter. I was simply stating what types of arguments you could expect to read pro and con. I added my nickel's worth so that once everything got going, it would be easy to distinguish between the science-based and the faith-based arguments.

And to breath, I have no problem debating the topic at hand, and perhaps I am a tad edgy tonight. I do have my reasons though, I won't get into them but I do. I do apologize. I felt personally attacked, not because of the topic but just as a more or less personal attack. And the more people that join the conversation the further down my odds go because I don't know ANYONE here and you obviously do. I don't want to make any enemies, atleast not this fast anyway. I would love to continue the debate with you if we can do it in a civilized manor.
