all truth is subjective. when an atheist makes a statement, it is still based on opinion (and not necessarily science just because s/he isn't theist) when theists do the exact same thing.

Not all statements are based on opinion. If I say it's 150 Million km to the sun, it's not an opinion. If I say strawberries are good, it's an opinion.

i think it's funny how atheists lack just as much evidence of 'being' anything as opposed to the christians they so often attack.

It is to the one who cries wolf to show the tracts or the shit, not to others to prove that the wolf was never there.

Negatives cannot be proven, only positives can.

It is to the one who says that there is a God to either put up or shut up.

If he gets too pushy that is. Discussions are always good.

I am a believer but not in the miracle working super absentee God that man has created with the Bible.

Oh, your sexy, sexy lingo and grammar jargon make me so horny...

Your statement is subjective, too, sorry. I never implied with my words that I was a theist because I am not one. :D

I meant can he make a rock he cannot lift, if he can make anything?

I doubt God made rocks. That's just not real :/

The argument God cannot be omnipotent if he cannot construct a situation he cannot accomplish has some merit and is intersting to think about, but is an exercise in mental masturbation. God is omnipresent and omnipotent. If he wanted to create a rock he could not lift I am sure he could, but why?

I once read that the chances of life just being an accident are the same chances of a tornado blowing through a junk yard and fully assembling a working Boeing 747. There has to be a God.

Yeah sure. God was 'created' to explain things that we were unable to explain. now we have science, and we know why certain things happen.

but you don't know what the driving force is behind science. why do things evolve and spark and have chemicals???

scientific statements are fact. trying to prove religion wrong with science is stupid. they DON'T mix.

I agree.

Bibles have to be judged on the moral position they take or show.

Since the Christian Bible shows a distinct lack of justice or morals in dealing with women, Gays and slaves, there is enough ambiguity and injustice to discard it as a literal document and even perhaps as a moral one.

It may not have been 3000 years ago but it is certainly immoral by today's standards.

It did help to lead me to God but then I do not read it literally or believe it's characters to be real.
