It just ----just occurred to me that why should we blame God for good as well as bad, yes why??

Just thought...people die in an earthquake, a cyclone, a hurricane, floods, a landslide, any accident because they are at a wrong place at a wrong time ?
People die of hunger because they don't work or grow crops nor store them for rainy season..?
crops are bad due to drought or other natural factors but this ain't God's fault...human planning may have gone wrong...somehow, somewhere??
Doesn't the Bible say: There is time for everything???

I cannot believe God will wish anybody bad!!

Shit happens, what the hell?

DA, despite what you state it appears you ARE religious or at least religious minded....and that's not bad for digestion!!:)
I believe that I am more Religious Minded than Religious. :)
It would be nice if I won the lottery but I'm not going to waste my life hoping I win it on the off chance, life is for living, now!:thumbup (sounds like you pretty much have that idea too, just stop attaching yourself to a religion whose leader influences thousands of people to die before they should.:thumbup)
How does God and MY Religion influence people to die before their time?

Photos or it didn't happen

you have images of Jesus in every Christian house and churches...aren't they enough of proof??

Moreover, later revelations such as the Quran also confirms that Jesus existed....and as you might know, unlike the Bible or Jesus life, the Quran and Muhammad's life are fully documented...so we have proof that jesus did exist and he will re-appear before the Day of Judgment (as Messiah) to fix up evil in this world!!

Yep, it's good to have something rather than nothing..in this case God!:)

Nobody dies before its time...There is a time for everything... thus the Bible saith!!

The pope tells all his devout followers in Africa that wearing a condom is wrong thus causing thousands more than should to die of AIDS which is a terrible problem over there as it is.

In that case so is Julius Caesar, they're both about 2000 years old, charismatic and were likened to Gods.

but the lineage of Julius Caesar doesn't extend to Moses..or Abraham, does it??
Also Caesar was not born without a 'father'....

therefore Jesus is alive and kicking!!

Well as long as he doesn't interfere with anything that goes on where I live! And I've never been keen on the Popes anyway. I don't follow Religion that far. And you wonder why the Popes have to drive around in bullet proof glass mobiles!!! :willy_nilly: Just like I don't agree with all of the Priests that have been molesting kids. That's another thing that bothers me. That's why I don't go to Church on a regular basis. Plus I don't like the donation basket.

I just wonder why you identify yourself with a religion that you clearly have contempt for? Like I said before, you seem to be an agnostic but first and foremost you identify yourself with a religion that you disagree with.

I don't disagree with the Religion itself. I disagree with the Religious Leaders that we have.I am not going to drop my beliefs because of people who are only Human. Our Religious Leaders are not Gods. They are susceptible to the same sins and misbehaviors that any of us are. I agree with the Religion just not the people who are in charge right now or who have been for quite some time. That's why i practice mainly at home.

And also I disagree with the many ways that my religion has been has been misinterpreted by these Leaders. I see it differently than how The Pope sees it and how some Priests see it. Things are a lot different in the church now than it was 20+ years ago. That's the problem. I've read the Bible from front to back a couple of times in one sitting. Things are written in there that leaves room for being able to view things differently depending on who you are.

It all depends on if you're religious or not. You have to be a little more specific. Was Jesus God's son or not? Is Jesus God? Was Jesus really born immaculately concepted to the Virgin Mary? There's so many things you can ask about Jesus.

I believe that Jesus exists and is God's son. I believe in The Virgin Mary and that God did give her Jesus to be born. I believe in a lot. Sometimes seeing isn't the only way to believe. ;)

Peter he didn't have magical powers he had God Given abilities. Which he showed to many people.

This is what I believe as well. It is called faith for a reason. If I am to put faith in anything I will put it in Jesus.

Faith is a personal thing. I do not believe any denomination has it all right. I am a member of a Baptist church but my personal faith falls somewhere between the Baptist and the Methodist. I don't believe in abstaining from alcohol. I believe the bible reads as all things in moderation. I believe our calendar reflects what history believes in Jesus. Over the centuries many things mentioned in the bible which have sounded fantastic have been proven by archeologists. I have come to my personal conclusion that the bible is not just a bunch of hokey stories. I have read enough of the bible and commentaries to be comfortable with my belief.

Fred you some great insight! I believe the exact same thing. No denomination has it exactly right. It has to come from within us. The Bible is our Guide and how we interpret it determines how much Faith we can have in ourselves and in what we can not touch or see.
