About as ridiculous as General being too sacred a place for this but the Survivor GAME not being moved to Games.

I've given up on expecting rationality or even predictability.
 
Ok, to be completely honest, this topic was hard for me. Civil disobedience is very likely a foreign term to most Eastern Europeans, I know we didn't study it in school. So, I really had to work hard and research thoroughly to be bale to form a well rounded opinion, and then work even harder to argue something I do not agree with. But all in all I REALLY enjoyed it. It was a lot of fun. :)

No worries Ana ;) I'm a mom too and our kids need us the most when they're sick- so I totally understand :)

Thanks ;) and yeah I think I need a lot of that good luck :p It's quite tough for me taking a stance and defending it given it's against what I believe in.

I will however post mine later this evening as am currently at work ( on my phone) and in a bunch of meetings. I can't sneak out to think on a rebuttal. OK off I go to formulate my argument later.......

I will surely be casting my votes. Atm am just on my lunch brekky to rushly formulate my closing remarks as I am aware we were running late :p I am on a 16 hour shift at work today though.....so I'll be able to vote tomorrow morning- Promise ;)

I was ready to take your position too when the debate threads were posted. I was crossing my fingers you would take the opposite side as I totally disagree with that opposing side. No way, am gonna make myself be unable to use contraception :p

It sure was very TOUGH to defend it. To be honest, I need a whole bottle of Tylenol now to relieve me from the headache it brought just thinking how defend that side from your rebuttal. Good job Ana :D:thumbup
 
The threads have been moved and it's over and done. If another mod wants to move them back, I couldn't care less, but I have ALWAYS moved threads to the appropriate area and will continue to do so. If your settings are set up correctly you should be automatically subscribed to any thread that you post in. If not, you can always subscribe manually if you really think you'll have THAT much of a problem finding them.

It's really NOT a big deal so I don't know why 3 or 4 people are trying to make it a big deal. It's the debate section...debates go in here. The debate offshoot thread is ABOUT THE DEBATES...it goes w/ them.

You've obviously completely missed the point, but hey... that's not all that surprising.

This tournament is, essentially a game. People who normally stay away from the debate section entered the tournament knowing it has no chance to progress to the viciousness of the threads usually found in this section.
And being in this section limits the number of views and with that the votes the debates can get.

Also, haven't we changed to a more lax rule system recently?
