I am so sick of this natural cycle bullshit. At least 5 people have said it, I have responded to all of them, and they never said a thing about it in return. Hence forth, you guys have no argument.

Are you going to answer me? Or continue the rhetoric?

I asked a simple question...What's your theory?

What's your theory?

Firstly, what mechanism is behind this alleged natural cycle?

Because absent a forcing of some sort, there will be no change in global energy balance. So natural or otherwise, we should be able to find this mysterious cause.

Secondly, what is an explanation for how a 35% increase in the second most important greenhouse gas does not itself affect the global temperature?

See, you answered my question WITH a question....You actually have No original ideas of your own...

So can I assume your accusations about the stupidity of the members here will stop?:p

Original ideas with no scientific reserach, in science, are bad ones. And they will most likely make me look stupid in the end.

Btw, you didn't respond to my questions, you don't have the answer and you can't find it, because you are wrong.

I asked you what your theory was, or what you could cut and paste on the ending of the ice age...

And you netted nothing...You never answered my question, except with another question.

So I wait...Still...for an answer

I don't know for sure. Past warming and cooling cycles have been triggered by something, probably not CO2 like this time, but without living in that time or traveling back to that time it would be hard and nearly impossible to pin point an exact cause for each warming and cooling trend.

Living here and now, we can know that this time it is caused by CO2.

So with no realtime data from a cetain point in pre-recorded history, how do we really know what other factors are involved in this trend?

See my point? Nobody is arguing CO2 as being a key contributor....But we can only limit that, we cannot eliminate that regardless of what some think tank nerd says, all we can do AT BEST is manage it better.

Personally I think if the sun burns out, this sumbitch gonna get cold again:D

If I had to chose a cause for ice ages, it would be Milankovich cycles. They can't explain the current warming (since the current Milankovich forcing is more likely to be towards cooling).

Earth's climate undergoes 120,000 year cycles of ice ages broken by short warm periods called interglacials. The cycle is driven by Milankovitch cycles. Long term changes in the Earth's orbit trigger an initial warming which warms the oceans and melts ice sheets - this releases CO2. The extra CO2 in the atmosphere causes further warming leading to interglacials ending the ice ages.

For the past 12,000 years, we've been in an interglacial. The current trend of the Milankovitch cycle is a gradual cooling down towards an ice age.

You can't get much warming from just the Milankovich cycles. However, you can get enough warming to start a feedback loop with CO2, which *is* enough to get significant warming -- enough warming to pull us out of ice ages.

So just because we don't know what the other possible causes of global warming are, we are going to call global warming false, and do nothing about it.

Interesting logic.

We are a contributor...Simple as that...Not the only contributor, but a contributor, and there is little doubt that CO2 contributes to some of the problems we are having.....I am not going to fold and say it's the only component.

I think there is a push to limit CO2 emissions and I can see the value in that, it is already a regulatory issue in my industry, so don't go chaining yourself to too many gates and throwing rocks at big oil, eventually you will want to travel further than school and romper room, and will probably have to take mass transit or a plane or maybe even a commuter car:eek to do it...

Hopefully you tread lightly little lady....Our very existence depends on it:D

Well, what are these other components and how are they causing the current warming? That's the question I asked you to answer.
