He is an idiot and more or less did put everyone in danger. he just got lucky that's all.

Everyone was already in danger, it was an armed robbery :cool

Granted the average joe does not need to react like he did as they are not trained for it, but at least this time it worked out for the best and no one was hurt.

I agree with you, Maulds, that it worked out best in this situation but the chances of someone doing this and making the situation worse were far greater.

perhaps it was so news worthy because it worked out for the best, and that was surprising.

it would have been veryy different if lots of people had been killed whitch quite often happens with vigilanteism.

basically its so unlike our culture here that well never really understand it.

I could hand all the tobacco I carry with me to the biggest moron on earth and I garuntee he wouldn't be able to kill anyone with it, not even himself.
Are you going to make the argument that smoking and that second hand smokes doesn't cause 4 million deaths a year worldwide?

Wouldn't you like to know . . . ;) :D :jk
LOL!
Seriously though, they make tons of holsters that are worn to keep your weapon (the holster) close to your body. You can wear them under your clothes. (some are the inner thigh for dresses, or the back for sweatshirts ) It depends on what you are wearing as to where you'd place your gun.

I have a concealed weapons permit. Taken the the classes, deemed a sharp shooter, got the T-shirt.

I do not always carry mine with me.

I'd say between 40 to 50% of American homes have a gun in them. I do not know how many people are walking around with a gun on their person at any given time. I do know that in areas where it is CWP's are legal that crime is lower.

Actually it isn't surprising.

Understandable.

No, how many of those are self inflicted deaths by people who choose to smoke compared to those who involuntarily breath in smoke? Those deaths will go down dramatically too now seeing that it's banned to smoke in enclosed public spaces.
At the end of the day, if I'm smoking a cigarette near you anyway, you have the choice to move away without getting killed unlike if I was to point a gun at your head. I just find this too surreal that I have to explain to an intelligent adult why guns are more dangerous than second hand tobacco smoke!:24:

What a stupid idiot! Imagine if the robber had started shooting back! He was getting what he wanted and there was no reason for the guy to risk provoking a gun fight in which people could have got injured and killed! Yes he was brave but he was also extremely irresponsible and stupid!

You didn't read it did you? He was behind the robber and quickly pulled his gun and pointed.

If the guy had turned and raised his gun he would be on the ground. Calling a guy an idiot, for what? Saving a lot of hassle and putting the guy in jail asap?

Have you not read all this thread? I'm not answering points which have been comprehensively answered already.;)
