Read my entire post, I said that there are legitimate reasons to carry. It's just that none apply to me and my current situation. The only reason that someone who is in my position would carry a gun is out of the fear of getting robbed or attacked. If I was attacked or robbed I am fully aware of the danger of trying to reach under my shirt to pull a gun out to protect myself. Things can go down very quickly and quick action will do much more for you than getting shot or stabbed while trying to get a gun out and fire. I'll guarantee that if someone walks up to you a put a gun in your face and asks for your purse, you are going to give it to him. You aren't going to have time to reach in your purse and pull on him before he shoots you. And what about a purse snatcher? They don't give you warning, just one swipe and it's gone, along with your gun...

There just isn't a reason for me to carry... and if you read my first post on this, you would see that I am not against CWP's... I just think they are over used from people who are paranoid about their safety when simple common sense would keep most people safe in most situations.

So basically...you don't want someone stealing your purse???

You agree with Donnies point? I for the life of me fail to see how you can possible compare the dangers of carrying a gun to the non existant dangers of someone carrying cigarettes.

I like the ban on smoking in all restaurants in TN now. Part of me doesnt like the fact that the govt is having more say in our lives, but being a non-smoker married to a smoker it sure is nice to have a nice meal out and not have to smell that shit anymore.

Personally .. I would have just let him take the money and run. Hard decision to make though. Having to make the decision to take a life, or possibly lose yours and leave your family without you .. very hard, not one I ever want to make.
