LOLOL!!!!

So you dislike the laws you agree with? :willy_nilly:

Maybe when you can not be a smart ass when you respond in a debate thread (which seems odd considering the rantings you posted about in another thread about wanting people to be able to not do that .. hypocrite much?) .. perhaps I might repsond to you .. until then .. don't hold your breath. :)

Since you brought it up. The other thread had nothing to do with me not wanting people to be smart asses.

Smart ass or not, your statement fails every single law of logic. And things like this should be brought up in a debate.

So basically meaning .. you'll pick and choose which ones you think are correct and which ones you think need to be followed and or ignored/broken/complained about.

Still sounds a tad hypocritical to me .. like you don't like the ones that keep you from doing what you want .. but do like the ones that you agree with.
Um, I don't see what wrong with pointing out some laws you don't like, and some you do? Since when do you HAVE to like ALL laws??? Not hypocritical in any way what so ever.

I just find it odd that you always find fault in the government when they don't follow rules .. yet you seem to like none of the rules set forth by the government .. until they do something you don't agree with .. and then they aren't following the rules.

alrighty then.........

On another note, I understand you efforts to keep this debate light. Yet I fail to see any logic in any of your arguments.

Oh. You really hurt my feelings there. Cold as ice. And you didn't even put in the :D or :p

well duh

I like most rules set forth by the government, actually. I just mainly have issues with foreign policy.

I think that planes flying in to buildings to blow up which had thousands of people in them, the setting up of bombs in schools where terrorists got into, killing many children aswell as adults, throat slicing, totally beheading and so on, is terrorism and way beyond barbaric.

I don't condone this either, but I would actually call, making prisoners strip off naked and making them go without sleep, more on the lines of intimidation than terrorism myself. There is such a massive difference.

That said, I do not condone any of it but it happens and the second part of what I said, although not justifying it exactly, is still not on the same scale as that embolded^^^^^^

You're right. We're better than them because we have standards, so it's alright to break those standards in order to defeat them.

I'm sensing sarcasm here. :p

Seriously though... I don't think the US being a hypocrite in regards to torture gives us a good reputation. It would be nice if we could hold ourselves to a higher standard, and not resort to any type of torture. I suppose that's just wishful thinking.

well, seeing as the terrorists a torturing everybody over there, we should at least make it a bad thing to get caught as a terrorist. There is no deterrent in sitting in a prison cell twidling your thumbs when ou are a fanatic.
