Me personally... If I were captured by some militant extremists, and the worst thing that happened to me was they took some dirty pictures, and scared me really bad... Dude, I'm thanking God every day I had it so good.

Thought they were going to pull a Nick Burg on me. :smiley24:

:homo:

I just fail to see that the fact other countries do it worse is a good reason for torture. Since when do we base our human rights on it not being as bad as what extremists do?

When you want to play sailor you can't 'fraid powder Pete.

The methods of getting information from them (terrorists) is still far more civil than what they do. Lollypops (Popsicles) would not work. Just saying.

What information has been got from the detainees in Guantanemo bay by the way? Last I heard, Bin laden was still on the run.

Here is an old article that discusses that.

WASHINGTON -- Information obtained through the interrogation of a Guantanamo Bay detainee led to a spectacular series of counterterrorism raids in Germany this month, in which more than 700 police swept through mosques, homes, and businesses in six cities and arrested 22 suspected militant extremists, according to a senior Defense Department official.
The civilian in charge of interrogations, Steve Rodriguez, said he would seek permission from his Defense Department superiors to use aggressive, stress-inducing, interrogation techniques only if he believed a detainee has information that could save lives that are in imminent danger. He said he has not encountered such a situation in his year and a half at the prison. After years of questioning certain detainees, the sessions continue to yield useful information about local terrain and leaders in areas of Afghanistan or Pakistan where the US military is still conducting operations, Rodriguez said.

It would be safe to say they...the human bombs, plane jacking, throat hacking terrorists and provider/supporters use far worse torture techniques and have been using such for many years and will continue to so do regardless.

I'm on the side and in support of the anti-terrorists.
again, you're being illogical. Them using violence doesn't justify torture in comparison.

you're sinking to their level. You are a terrorist.

Yes it does.

Fuck the Jennifer Convention. I'm on the side of the Anti-"Human bombs", anti-"plane jackers flying into towers" and Anti-"throat slicers".

If a lil torture would help get information from them that they otherwise would not give, and it will help saving and protecting millions of lives around the world then I'm all for it.

They didn't care two shits about the Jennifer Convention when they signed up to blow up innocent lives and murder people. If you happened to be in their way they'd kill you too in a heartbeat.
Are you on the side of "anti-defying human rights" , "anti-imperialism", "anti-wasting lives for power" too?

Plus, the whole "torture is worth it because the info from it might save lives" is ridiculous. Ask John McCain what he gave them when they tortured him. NOTHING. Plus, they don't even know if half of those guys are even terrorists. You could be torturing someone that is completely innocent.

I love how all the people who regularly mouth off about how they hate all the laws this country has and that they impose on us .. yet are here now saying that the same country should now abide by the rules. How hypocritical can you get people?

if they told you that .. they'd have to kill you .. not just take neked pics of you :ninja

Who are you to judge what's wrose? Fact is, you don't know what the CIA does when they transport SUSPECTED terrorists/extremists to countries outside the Geneva Convention. I support anti-terrorists, but I also support not making our soldiers job more deadlier than it already is. Obviously you can say the same.

torture is terrorism.

You have to play by your own "anti-terrorist" logic now, though now that you've stated it. Are you against the CIA now?

Told you once told you a thousand times...I am anti-"human bombing plane jacking flying into towers throat hacking jumping up and down celebrating" terrorists. :ninja

So basically meaning .. you'll pick and choose which ones you think are correct and which ones you think need to be followed and or ignored/broken/complained about.

Still sounds a tad hypocritical to me .. like you don't like the ones that keep you from doing what you want .. but do like the ones that you agree with.
