Pope is held in great esteem all over the world and even Muslims take his word as an expression of entire Christian world. Being not a Catholic doesn't mar the reputation of the Pope.....or the Catholic sect.

I never insinuated that Muslim priests had any authority over Muslim governments. I asked the question since you seem to believe that the Pope has some sort of control over western governments.

The Pope being treated with respect due to his position does not mean that he speaks for Christianity as a whole. He speaks for the Catholic church, nobody else. What other people choose to take his word as is their own prerogative.

It doesn't take a Ph.D to realize that either English is not your first language, and you haven't taken the time to learn how to properly express yourself in the language via text, or English is your first language, and you weren't taught properly.

Also, this is the discussion portion of the forum, and it's perfectly acceptable to ask someone personal questions in order to gain an understanding of why they're saying the things that they are. If you don't want to be asked personal questions, don't post here. It's hardly an offensive thing to do, but you apparently take it as such.

Actually, I've been told that I am very articulate and artful in how I choose to word my statements. That doesn't always shine through around here because I'm often in a hurry to say what I need to say. But if you were to take a poll from everyone here, I'm sure that the overwhelming majority would agree with my claim that your English skills leave a lot to be desired.
